Everyone’s got one of those creepy furry plushes somewhere. Huh? Le-Booboo? No, I’m not talking about French words for an injury. Back in the late nineties, our creepy furry plushes were called Furbys, and Nick Jensen has presented an exemplary study of one in LEGO bricks. Much like the recently-completed Iron Forge contest, Nick’s local LEGO User Group (LUG) runs challenges to complete builds using seed parts. In this case, that’s the 3×3 quarter-circle brick, perfectly used for those uncanny animatronic eyes and beak. Surely I can’t be the only one to find these things creepy? Maybe I’ve been watching too much Gremlins…
Speaking of LUGs – why not see if there’s one near you hosting similar build challenges? You can find a list of LEGO-Recognised LUGs over here!
