BrickHeadz debuted in 2016 as a new way for LEGO fans to build and display their fandom and creativity. As of 2024, LEGO has released over 250 BrickHeadz characters, sold either individually or in groups. While most BrickHeadz are based on characters from pop culture, like Marvel comics, Disney films, or Lord of the Rings, LEGO also releases BrickHeadz tied to holidays, as well as a kit to make a BrickHeadz character of yourself! As all BrickHeadz share a common size and style, creating your own can be a fun way to share your love for a favorite character.

LEGO BrickHeadz 40441 Pets Shorthair cat and Kitten [Review]

LEGO recently introduced a new sub-theme to the BrickHeadz line, Pets, and so far, there have been 4 sets released… A German Shepherd and puppy, A budgie and chick, and a pair of goldfish. Today we’re taking a look at the shorthair cat (number 120) and kitten (121), and they are available on lego.com and LEGO retail stores for $14.99 US (CAN $19.99 | UK £13.49),

LEGO BrickHeadz Pets 40440 German Shepherd and Puppy [Review]

If you are a pet owner and a LEGO fan, you might have attempted to build a BrickHeadz style version of your pet using parts from the LEGO Go Brick Me set, hoping that one day, LEGO might come out with official sets. Well, your wait is over… especially if you happen to be the owner of a German Shepherd. LEGO recently released a new sub-theme of BrickHeadz called Pets, and LEGO BrickHeadz Pets 40440 German Shepherd and puppy is the first in the series, with the adult dog being number 118 in the BrickHeadz lineup and the puppy being number 119. With 247 pieces, the set retails for US $14.99 | CAN $19.99 | UK £13.49 and is available now.

LEGO BrickHeadz Pets: 40442 Goldfish and 40443 Budgie [Review]

Two new sets in the Pets subtheme are here to grow the BrickHeadz family, following the recent BrickHeadz dog and cat sets. 40442 Goldfish (US $14.99 | CAN $19.99 | UK £13.49) and 40443 Budgie (US $14.99 | CAN $19.99 | UK £13.49) will be available starting March 1. Adorable to look at and fun to build, these creatures can either be displayed on a shelf as colorful decor pieces or swooshed around the room, and whether that’s under the water or in the sky is up to your imagination. LEGO BrickHeadz, Creator, & Iconic sets revealed for 2021 [News]

LEGO has revealed a number of new sets today from the BrickHeadz, Creator, and Iconic lineups, ranging from buildable roses to a yellow taxi. The sets include two kits with buildable flowers that expand on the recently announced LEGO Botanical Collection 10282 Flower Bouquet, though unlike those flagship sets these don’t bear the new 18+ adult-focused black packaging, instead wearing LEGO’s generic “Iconic” packaging. Another pair of sets brings two of the most widely recognized for-hire vehicles, with a classic yellow New York City taxi and a Tuk Tuk, a small auto rickshaw widely used throughout the world, and especially popular in India and Southeast Asia. Several BrickHeadz also join the fray, with duos of a Dog & Puppy and Cat & Kitten, along with a trio of adorable Pandas for Chinese New Year. And finally, rounding out the crowd is a buildable teddy bear with hearts for Valentine’s Day. All of the new sets will be available starting January 1.

Basic System bricks haven’t changed a bit over the last 60 years, so Emma Widmark takes a look into the future and predicts that even 40 years later, the answer to any worry will still look the same. It’s such a wholesome build; I can’t stop smiling, spying a ton of cute references. I’m sure you’ve recognized Ideas 21318 Treehouse on the table and 75957 The Knight Bus. But looking at that massive AT-AT on the top of the drawers, I will be very disappointed if they don’t release a UCS version by 2060!

LEGO Holiday BrickHeadz 40425 Nutcracker [Review]

Here in the U.S. and around the world, the end of the year brings a number of holidays and festivities, and under normal circumstances, a trip to the ballet to see The Nutcracker is a major holiday tradition. Well, in the midst of a global pandemic you will be able to bring a little bit of the Nutcracker home for the holidays. LEGO’s holiday BrickHeadz this year is 40425 Nutcracker. Although LEGO was able to send us an early review copy, we still don’t have the price, but we presume it will be $9.99 like other standalone BrickHeadz. It will be available starting October 1 and has 180 pieces.

LEGO Harry Potter 40412 Hagrid & Buckbeak BrickHeadz characters [Review]

LEGO reveals new Universal Monsters license with BrickHeadz 40422 Frankenstein [Review]

Is it too early to be thinking about Halloween? Not at all! And LEGO is here to help us get into the (ahem) spirit of things with a new BrickHeadz set. LEGO BrickHeadz 40412 Hagrid and Buckbeak from Harry Potter revealed [News]

Thanks to a Hungarian toy retailer Kockashop we get an early reveal of the latest Harry Potter 40412 Hagrid and Buckbeak BrickHeadz showcasing a dual-pack featuring Hagrid and Buckbeak. The set consists of 270 pieces, and while no official price has been revealed, based on previous dual pack issues, it will likely retail for $19.99 US and $24.99 CAN.

August has arrived and that means new LEGO sets! LEGO has launched 108 new sets and items available today. In addition to new sets like the Nintendo NES and Super Mario lineup, Ideas Grand Piano, Star Wars 501st Battle Pack and LEGO Art, fans in the US and Canada can finally celebrate the summer arrival of Harry Potter, Creator 3-in-1, City, and Ninjago waves that you’ve waited so patiently for. Nearly every LEGO theme has some new sets–it can be a lot to process!– so we have your complete guide right here detailing each and every new set and item. [EDIT: It appears that LEGO may have delayed the US & Canada release of some of these sets until September. We’ve asked for clarification.]

LEGO Star Wars 75317 The Mandalorian & the Child (Baby Yoda) BrickHeadz characters [Review]

The appearance of “The Child” (immediately nicknamed Baby Yoda) at the end of the first episode of “The Mandalorian” on Disney+ last November caught the whole world by surprise, including merchandise and toy licensees like LEGO, who had to scramble to produce products based on the show. First revealed in February, right before Toy Fair in New York, where we got hands on with both LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian sets, preorders for the 295-piece LEGO BrickHeadz 75317 The Mandalorian & the Child immediately went on back-order from the LEGO Shop (US $19.99 | CAN $24.99 | UK £17.99), but has begun showing up “in the wild” ahead of its August 1st release date.

Build your very own Tyrannosaurus Rex BrickHeadz [Instructions]

When the Owen and Blue BrickHeadz set first came out it was one of the first animal BrickHeadz in the series, after the Valentine’s Day bee and the Easter Bunny, which were really more like people in animal costumes. When I finished building the set, I immediately wanted to build a T-Rex to go with it. After several attempts, I finally came up with something I was happy with, and with a little encouragement from the TBB team, I am excited to share instructions so you can build one of your own.

The colors I used were based on my personal collection, and so I encourage you to choose any colors you want, to make your T-Rex unique.
