Building a convincing minifig-scale snowman is a challenge, even for the pros. We’ve seen a few odd ones in previous LEGO Advent Calendars, that’s for sure. But once we go to a more medium-scale, Tiago Catarino shows us that it only takes a few common pieces to build a snowman perfect as a seasonal decoration, ornament, or something to keep around all year long.
Have you heard? Winter is coming. That means it’s time to start thinking about festive decorations built out of LEGO! Let’s take a look at LEGO 40426 – a mysterious 510 piece set that will be released on October 1st. LEGO sent us a review copy, but didn’t provide any additional details, so we don’t yet know prices, or where exactly it’ll be available, or even the official set name. In the meantime, though, we can explore the parts, packaging, and multiple building options that this set has to offer. It sure looks like a wreath, but maybe it’s a Yuletide Frisbee or something.
August has arrived and that means new LEGO sets! LEGO has launched 108 new sets and items available today. Have you noticed it’s the middle of February already? This means that Saint Valentine’s Day is here, and with it the explosion of hearts and flowers. And if you or your valentine is bored with chocolates and roses, how about getting a bit more creative? There has always been something very special about LEGO Seasonal sets. It’s not just the subject matter of the sets, but also their unusual designs and formats that look nothing like regular retail LEGO themes. In 2019, LEGO will be making holidays even more special with a stunning lineup of Chinese Lunar New Year LEGO sets. Although these might be only available in China and the rest of the Asia Pacific region, there’s still an excellent way to take part in these celebrations — the new LEGO BrickHeadz 40354 Dragon Dance Guy brings a festive holiday mood in a very funny format.
With the current amount of seasonal LEGO sets, it’s absolutely impossible not to add a LEGO model to your holiday home decorations. And when the trendy BrickHeadz figures meet the holidays, some of the sweetest and most adorable sets are born. LEGO BrickHeadz 40274 Mr. & Mrs. Claus is the fifth seasonal BrickHeadz set, and the only double-pack of the sub-theme. The set consists of 341 pieces, which makes it the third largest LEGO BrickHeadz set so far. This is possible thanks to a ton of decorations that the figures come with, but let’s take a closer look at the designs of Mr. and Mrs. Claus themselves as well…
LEGO’s winter holiday sets have become annual must-have items for fans looking to expand their winter village scene. LEGO has released a video in which the designer of 10259 Winter Village Station gives us a closer look at this highly anticipated set. A station seems to be a logical accompaniment to last year’s 10254 Winter Holiday Train, so we are excited to find out more. The set is available October 1st and will retail for USD$79.99 / £74.99. Look out for a thorough review by The Brothers Brick in the very near future!
