A new wave of LEGO Star Wars has been revealed by LEGO Shop today. We had a sneak peek at some of these sets late last year and now we get to take a closer look at the box art and more details of the minifigures. We’ve seen the four other sets that are now on sale making the new wave of LEGO Star Wars line up with a total of 7 sets. The new sets will be available for purchase on March 1st 2021.
The classic Batman TV series that ran during the 1960s had its fair share of strange and flamboyant characters – both heroic and villainous. “King Tut”, an Egyptologist at Yale University turned villain due to amnesia, is no exception. LEGO builder Brick Grayson, creates a neat vehicle based on the concept of the Batman villain, and surely it should make any Batman and LEGO fan very content.
The rear portion of the car is surely a reference to the Adventurer’s theme sphinx, almost quoting the original build verbatim. The rest of the model is smoothly fashioned out of bricks, slopes, and tiles; the shape of it resembling the 1989 Batmobile. Of course, the King Tut minifigure from the first Batman Collectible Minifigure series is operating the vehicle. Grayson’s build is his way of celebrating the television series’ 55th anniversary; it’s certainly a worthy model for the occasion.
There have been a lot of builds inspired by LEGO’s 10281 Bonsai Tree lately, and this is one of the best. Take a close look at this bonsai tree, and you’ll see it looking right back at you. LEGO designer Jme Wheeler has come up with a great build and a quality pun with Boneseye. A mix of eyeball-printed 1×1 round tiles and Technic balls look almost natural in the olive-green foliage, while the twisting white bark of the tree is also full of interesting parts. I spotted life preserver rings, robot arms, and even some candlestick elements. Oh yeah, and even a bone or two.
While bonsai builds are all the rage right now, they’ve been a staple of creative builds for years. Just take a tour though our bonsai tag and see for yourself. There are even some creepy ones, like this chain-based creation from 2018.

Brick Sketches was first introduced in May 2020 with four characters from Disney Star Wars and the DC Universe. LEGO has now extended the theme with Disney characters featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Both sets are slated to be released on March 1st and priced at US $16.99 | CAN $19.99 | UK £14.99.
There are fast bikes. Then there are superbikes. This cyberpunk styled “Warpwheeled Cryptobike” by Eero Okkonen sits atop the list. The brightly-colored, space-age racing bike is poised for domination, and those wheels – the back being circles of banana gears and the front being tiles fixed tightly to some medium tread – are slick. The newer version of the 90° elbow (macaroni) element, which is used on both the bike and biker more than once, has to be one of LEGO’s best in recent history.
When she’s not on her bike, the rider is flying high in her rocket suit. That’s right; those boots aren’t made for walkin’. She’s killing it with the color combo! The old-school elements used in the futuristic jetpack and shoes are my favorite part. Shoutout to the Avatar/ExoForce projectile on the hips.

With the ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response) being a trend over the recent years and a large population embracing it as a method of relaxation, LEGO has jumped into the bandwagon to produce sounds using LEGO bricks to provide the soothing white noise effect. The album consisting of 7 music tracks of 30 minutes each is available for free on a total of 15 other platforms including Spotify, iTunes and Google Music.
A classic fairy tale gets the LEGO treatment with this towering six foot tall brick-built minifigure-scale structure created by Martin Harris and inspired by the Disney film Tangled. Not only do we get the famous tower in this work, we also get a nice landscape – the forest in which Rapunzel was tucked away, complete with colorful trees and a nice riverbed utilizing many nature-inspired elements including flower pieces, plants, and tree-limb elements in varying colors.
The LEGO Ideas 21325 Medieval Blacksmith goes on sale on 1st February in LEGO Stores. Priced at US $149.99 | CAN $199.99 | UK £134.99 and comes with 2164 parts. There’s many reasons why it’s called the ‘forbidden’ island, and builder Cube Brick shares a few of them with this tribal encounter.
It looks like the sailor barely escaped being sacrificed to whatever these guys worship. However, I’m still on the island admiring the fantastic wet and dry sand job. I love the shells and the hermit crab!
Interestingly, Cube Brick combined Classic LEGO island natives with new Aztec warrior minifigures. Doing so really helps the narrative that this is a dangerous place, especially with the skeleton in the cage and the de-armed figure on the altar! Yikes!
Some spacecraft are friendly, full of friendly space explorers and friendly scientists. And then there’s this craft by Mitsuru Nikaido, which might be friendly, but I don’t trust it. Anything with more than 2 arms can’t be trusted. But I do like a good set of organic-looking lander arms. And that twisted central structure is pretty sweet.
It’s been a fantasy of mine to walk into a saloon, and my very presence causes everything to halt to a silence. I’ve entered a few bars in my adult life, and apparently, despite all my squinting and scowling, I just don’t cut a badass imposing figure. This guy, on the other hand, looks like he means some serious business. KitKat1414 presents this scene in LEGO and you can just hear the gasps and the honky-tonk piano whimper off while mid-tune. I like the window, the crooked painting on the wall, and the overall lived-in feel of this saloon. If bars ever open up again, I’ll be sure to practice my best Clint Eastwood squint, and in a gruff, low grunt, I’ll announce to the barkeep that I’ll have “the hair of the dog that bit me.” Then I’ll just hope they don’t hand me a Zinfandel.
