Nate Burr celebrates GO MINIMAN GO

Nate “Blunty” Burr, along with David Pagano and myself, was asked to make a brickfilm to celebrate the 30th birthday of the LEGO minifigure.  Nate delivers in typical Blunty3000 style, with his satirical brickfilm, Living in Meatspace:

Zack “NewRight” presents a wonderful landscape accompanied by a short story, which you can read here.

More Preliminary 2009 Set Pictures (Indy and Clone Wars) [News]

lokosuperfluoLEGOman has updated the folder with more pictures of 2009 LEGO sets, including Star Wars: Clone Wars and Indiana Jones.  Please keep in mind that these are all preliminary pictures and are almost certainly subject to change, therefore the use of old pieces in new figures (such as Patrick the starfish’s torso used for the brute in the Flying Wing set and the Imperial Guard torso used for Willie) will probably change.  Also note that the Flying Wing preliminary set art includes a Swastika, something The LEGO Company will certainly not use in the final box art.  Note that the pictures seen here are from corran11’s photostream on Flickr, because some images are cropped and rotated for easier viewing.

Mean Green Mother from Outer Space

Nathan Proudlove has grown -I mean built- his own mutant man-eating plant, Audrey II (from Little Shop of Horrors, entirely out of Bionicle pieces.  Incredibly, this is Nathan’s first Bionicle creation.  Nathan was inspired after listening to an interview of Bryce McGlone, who was recently featured on LAML.

Crimson Wolf builds a Dragon Temple

Newcomer Crimson Wolf, winner of the Small Category of the recent Picking Up The Pieces ApocaLEGO Contest with his Mine/Cave Hideout, has just posted pictures of another great creation, a Dragon Temple to “honor a lesser dragon god.”  The temple is beautiful, with many great details, but my favorite part is the dragon itself.

Mommy Rex is very angry...

Mike Psiaki (who is no stranger to being blogged) has built a climatic scene from The Lost World: Jurassic Park that is better than the movie it was based upon!

EDIT: fixed errors, thanks Dr. Paleo!

Ironclad + Tank = Bone Rattler

What do you get when you cross an old Civil War ironclad ship with a tank?  Nathan Proudlove’s Bone Rattler, a uniquely-shaped attack vehicle that Nathan says “was one of those builds that one might have in the back of ones mind for a long time and then one day, after nearly 12 hours straight building, it practically falls together.”

I really like the design of the smokestacks and the use of the triangular Knight’s Kingdom swords.

(Yes, I actually do post once in a while. :P )

Justin “Mainman” Vaughn is buildin’ Sarah Silverman

So where’s the Matt Damon minifigure? ;)

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures Video Game Demo now available!

Yep, you read that right! The demo for the new LEGO Indiana Jones video is now available for download here. Brace yourself, it’s nearly 470 MB, but I’m sure it’s worth it (I’m about halfway through downloading it as I write this post). I can’t wait to play! What a great way to celebrate the end of finals (yes, I’m back :) )

Please note that any appearance of danger is merely a device to enhance your testing experience.

If you haven’t seen the recent Cave Racer fad taking over LEGO areas of Flickr, you must be living under a rock.  If you haven’t played (or at least recognize) the epic game Portal, you’ve definitely been living under a rock.

Well, while trying to survive school, I decided to try my hand at a Cave Racer…with a twist.
