LEGO 10273 Haunted House revealed as next set in the Creator Expert Fairground Collection [News]

Get ready to scream for LEGO’s newest Fairground Collection expansion set, Creator Expert 10273 Haunted House. The 3,231-piece set comes with a working free-fall ride and nine minifigures plus a skeleton. The spooky set will sell for US $249.99 | CAN $299.99 | UK £209.99 and will be available to LEGO VIP members beginning May 20th with general availability starting June 1st.

The haunted house fairground ride opens up to reveal an organ, stained glass windows, a spooky portrait backlit by a light brick, and other terrifying details. The mechanics of the free-fall ride can be seen in the spinning product photo below, including the chain, gears, and flywheels (depicted in trans orange, though they will be black in the set).

LEGO Star Wars UCS A-wing Starfighter now available with other May the Fourth deals [News]

LEGO is kicking off Star Wars Day celebrations early ahead of May the Fourth by launching the 75275 A-wing Starfighter. In addition to the UCS A-wing becoming available, LEGO is offering 40407 Death Star II Battle as a free gift with Star Wars purchases more than US $75 | CAN $75 | UK £75 (available through May 4th or when supplies run out).

LEGO is also offering double VIP points on all Star Wars sets (like the new helmet series) and various deals on other Star Wars sets throughout the weekend. The new Star Wars sets join several other LEGO products that have recently become available including Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah and the buildable Minions (which both have 2x VIP points for the entire month of May).

Six new LEGO Harry Potter sets revealed for summer 2020 with centaurs, Hogwarts expansion, buildable Hedwig and more [News]

LEGO has revealed six Harry Potter sets coming this summer, expanding the Wizarding World with new minifigures and scenes from multiple films. Hogwarts-based sets include the Astronomy Tower, the Room of Requirement (with new Patronus figures), and the Forbidden Forest: Umbridge’s Encounter (with new LEGO centaurs). The other three sets include Attack on The Burrow, 4 Privet Drive and a brick-built mechanical Hedwig.

These six new LEGO Harry Potter sets will become available on August 1st in the US and two months earlier in other select regions starting on June 1st (though LEGO will be offering pre-orders starting April 30th in some regions). In the US, the Burrow will be a Target exclusive and the brick-built Hedwig will be a Barnes and Noble exclusive–both likely to be available eventually from LEGO as well.

76157 Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah now available from LEGO [News]

The newest LEGO DC Comics set 76157 Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah is now available from LEGO. The set comes with 371 pieces and includes three minifigures of Wonder Woman, Cheetah and Maxwell Lord. The set is currently available for US $39.99 | CAN $49.99 | UK £34.99 (with 2x VIP points for the month of May).

The Warner Bros. film Wonder Woman 1984 was originally slated for June 5th, though it has been delayed until August 14th because of the coronavirus. The Wonder Woman set is now available from LEGO along with the new Minions sets and Star Wars helmets.

LEGO Minions sets now available including brick-built Stuart, Kevin and Bob [News]

Two new LEGO sets based on the upcoming animated film Minions: Rise of Gru are now available from the LEGO Store online. The sets include brick-built minions and their lairs (w/ 2x VIP points for May) as well as a motorbike with Gru and various Minions minifigures. LEGO had originally planned on releasing five Minions-themed sets, though it has postponed launching three of them more closely based on the movie which was delayed until next year due to COVID-19.

LEGO and Universal Music Group to create music-based toys [News]

LEGO and Universal Music Group (UMG) have announced a partnership to create a new lineup of music-based sets that seek to inspire children to express themselves musically and explore their creativity through interactivity. The music sets will be revealed later this year and are scheduled for launch in 2021.

Universal Music Group is separate from Universal Pictures which announced a five-year agreement to produce and distribute LEGO movies earlier this week. We also don’t know if the recent LEGO Ideas “Music to Our Ears” competition is at all related to this announcement, though LEGO is evaluating bringing some of the submissions to market as sets.

LEGO Creator Summer 2020 wave features a pirate ship, space rover and camper van [News]

LEGO’s Summer 2020 wave of sets is starting to take shape with new product reveals on their way. First up, we are getting a look at the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets that feature a huge pirate ship with brick-built sails (following even more pirates from Barracuda Bay), a lunar explorer and a family camper van.

The sets were revealed by Portuguese retailer JB Net, and though we do not know their exact release date, they should start becoming available starting aroundJune. Pricing and piece counts remain unknown at this time, though we will update this article when more information becomes available.

Your guide to the 25 new LEGO sets for mid-April 2020, including Star Wars helmets and D-O [News]

Most of us are at home right now, but if you are in a position to fill your time with some LEGO building, there are 25 new sets and items to choose from for April–with six new sets as part of a mid-month wave. Notable sets launching today are the new Boba Fett, Stormtrooper and TIE Fighter Pilot helmets, the droid D-O from Rise of Skywalker, and Collectible Minifigure Series 20.

The new Star Wars sets and minifigures are in addition to several other new sets launched earlier this month on April 1st including the LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay and the Technic Fast & Furious Dodge Charger.

See the new LEGO Star Wars UCS A-wing Starfighter in action from the designer Hans Schlömer himself [News]

Take a sneak-peek at the newly announced LEGO Star Wars UCS 75275 A-wing Starfighter hosted by the designer who created it, Hans Schlömer. He gives us a tour of one of the fastest ships in the Star Wars galaxy and talks about the scale of the model, color choice, and minifigure design.

The 1,673 piece set is the first LEGO Star Wars UCS model of an A-wing and features pivoting laser cannons, a new cockpit element, and a new pilot minifigure. The set will retail for US $199.99 | CAN $259.99 | UK £179.99 starting May 1st, just in time for May the Fourth celebrations.

 

LEGO 42107 Ducati Panigale V4 R motorcycle revealed as newest Technic superbike [News]

LEGO has revealed it’s latest Technic model, the 42107 LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R. The sleek superbike comes with 646 pieces which make up the motorcycle’s Technic core and red exterior. The Ducati Panigale V4 R is also the first motorcycle model in LEGO Technic history to include a gearbox.

42107 LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R will retail for $69.99 USD | 54.99 GBP | 99.99 CAD beginning on June 1st this summer.

LEGO 75275 A-wing Starfighter revealed as next Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set [News]

LEGO has revealed the next Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set as the 75275 A-wing Starfighter. Originally sighted in The Return of the Jedi, the A-wing model comes with 1,673 pieces, pivoting laser cannons, and an A-wing Pilot minifigure.

The set will be available for US $199.99 | CAN $259.99 | UK £179.99 starting on May 1st, just in time for May the Fourth celebrations. LEGO will also offer a gift-with-purchase set featuring the “Death Star II Battle” with all Star Wars purchases more than $75 from May 1-4 or until supplies run out, as well as double VIP points on Star Wars sets and select Star Wars items on sale.
