Back to the Future has returned in LEGO form with new BrickHeadz based on the iconic film. 41611 Marty McFly and Doc Brown is a BrickHeadz double pack with 240 pieces and available April 16 for $19.99 USD.
Update: This set was released April 16, not 15 as LEGO reported in the press release.

Until our review of 10759 Elastigirl’s Rooftop Pursuit yesterday, The Brothers Brick had not done a review on a LEGO Juniors set. But with the new Incredibles 2 movie coming out this June, there’s a small wave of sets being released in May that will not be featured in their own regular theme. Juniors sets also often include some pretty nice parts, so we thought this would be a good opportunity to share our reviews. In this article we’ll take a look at one of those sets: 10760 Underminer Bank Heist. This set retails for $24.99 USD, with 149 pieces, including three unique minifigs: Elastigirl (Mrs. Incredible), Mr. Incredible, and Underminer.
Austrian LEGO builder Sanel Lukovic has been building a large-scale diorama depicting hot rod culture. The scene has a lovely vintage vibe, and Sanel displayed it recently at LEGO exhibitions in Slovenia and Croatia.
The diorama includes a fully brick-built street surrounded by a diner, hot rod garage, biker bar, and gasoline station. Let’s take a closer look!

Maschinen Krieger-style mecha are a common theme among LEGO builders, but this one by Marco Marozzi has a particularly grotesque look that sets it apart from the crowd. With no neck and a large canon where you’d expect a head, the Carabinieri NSA support Mecha – Ma.k 8 looks like the sort of grisly machine you’d see patroling around District 9. Marco has made great use of multiple sand green elements from the short-lived Ben 10 theme’s Swampfire, and dotted it all over with repurposed minifigure tools.
BrickHeadz are clearly here to stay, and no matter what your favorite film genre, there is a BrickHeadz character for that… or at least there will be someday. Now we can add the cloned dinosaur survival genre to that list with the recent announcement of 41614 Owen & Blue from the Jurassic World franchise. This set features our favorite velociraptor-whisperer, Owen Grady, along with Blue, the only surviving velociraptor from the recent installment of Jurassic World. The 41614 Owen & Blue two-pack set retails for $19.99 and includes 234 pieces.

Nothing screams American metal and gasoline-fueled testosterone like the Dodge Viper. This remote control Technic Dodge Viper comes courtesy of MRX Lego.
Of course, a model couldn’t claim the title “Viper” without a white body and blue racing stripes. Additional stylistic details include a front air dam (made of SYSTEM plates), racing seats, a moving (but fake) shift knob, and a massive rear wing spoiler. The interior includes an actual headlight switch under the dashboard that operates the front headlights.

Until now, The Brothers Brick hasn’t done a review of a Juniors themed set. But LEGO’s small wave of tie-in sets for Disney Pixar’s new Incredibles 2 movie will only feature Juniors sets, and since we can’t help but cover LEGO’s official sets based on one of our favorite superhero universes, we decided to pick up them up and see what Juniors has in store. We’ll start with 10759 Elastigirl’s Rooftop Pursuit. This set retails for $19.99 USD, with 95 pieces, including two unique minifigs: Elastigirl (Mrs. Incredible) and Screenslaver, and is available from LEGO Shop at Home.
This review will be mostly spoiler-free, but we can’t guarantee the set doesn’t give anything away.
We’ve featured half a dozen or so Savoia S.21 flying boat from Porco Rosso over the years, but it remains one of my favorite LEGO aircraft whenever I run across a new version. This latest incarnation of the racing plane from the 1992 Hayao Miyazaki film is brought to us by Volker Brodkorb. The airplane’s huge engine mounted forward of the cockpit makes this plane instantly recognizable, as do the striping on the angled wings.
Volker uses curved slopes attached studs out to achieve the sloping shape of the boat-plane’s hull, and the pop of yellow on the front of the propeller is a lovely touch.
I seriously don’t know what this is, but it definitely looks like a grunt that you’d want to stay away from. Builder Leonid An must have had an inspiring day to be able to dream up of this one – someone must have made him quite cross indeed. I did notice Grunt has a great choice of clothing! I wonder where he does his shopping or did Mrs. Grunt go for sewing lessons?

What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison? You can’t wash your hands in a buffalo. Okay, terrible jokes aside, here’s an excellent pair of LEGO bison put-together by Jens Ohrndorf. The shaping is excellent, as is the restrained colour scheme, and the mix of smooth and studded pieces used creates an effective simulation of the bison’s patchy shaggy coat.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen bison models by Jens. Check out this cute pair of tiny LEGO bison and a mammoth we featured a couple of years ago.
Yes, boys and girls, if you really want to stand out amongst the crowd when all your friends have regular dart guns, here’s one that’s guaranteed to make them go green with envy. Astonishing Studios built a fully working Nerf Dart gun using LEGO.
Well, the only caveat is you’ve still got to purchase the foam darts, which is going to still put a hole in your pocket.

When it comes to LEGO houses, Sarah Beyer builds some of the best. We’ve taken a look at her jungle holiday home previously, and whilst this house might be less exotic in its setting, it’s no less accomplished in its construction and fit-out. The tan walls with their black detailing offer a sharp contrast to the feature wall, letting its striping really stand out. The landscaping and planting around the house create a sense of a cared-for property situated in a pleasant urban neighbourhood.
As ever, Sarah has included a detailed interior, including this stylish upstairs bedroom with its floor-to-ceiling windows. However, all that natural light comes at a cost — I notice there are no curtains, so the privacy may be somewhat lacking.
