While I do love me some Speed Champions, I do really enjoy seeing fan creations using techniques that trim off most of the visible studs to give a car a sleek and smooth look. This Lamborghini Countach by Simon Przepiorka is one of those tiny wonders that make my jaw drop. I’ve always been a fan of the Countach and this is one of the best representations that I’ve seen at this scale thus far.

You never know what you’re going to get when you ask the right questions. Recently, we had the chance to speak with Douglas Khoo about his work. Douglas is a talented builder who seldom showcases his builds online, but does what he does for the love of it. If the builder’s name rings a bell, that’s because he was part of the crew that was invited to create and build an exhibit for the UNESCO’s Piece of Peace exhibition that will travel the world.
Douglas created this magnificent collage of LEGO Star Wars ships with a silent tribute to the Dark Side. This montage only took Douglas about two hours to complete, and if you did not already notice, it’s inspired by a similar piece by artist Louis C. Hébert from the Bleublancrouge advertising agency from the Star Wars Identities Exhibition over at the Montreal Science Centre, back in 2012. The difference though is Douglas makes use of the negative space a lot more to give the Star Wars ships a showcase of their own and individuality. If you still don’t see Vader there, squint your eyes, take a step back and look again!
When asked about how big a fan he was, Douglas’s answer was – you’ve got to be kidding me. That’s when we were introduced to a showcase of his other masterpieces which all center around the beloved Star Wars theme. With each of these builds, Douglas adds his own twists of interpretation and re-imagination to the scene.

The first official retail pictures of the upcoming LEGO City sets have been revealed for this summer. These sets contain rare and exotic prehistoric exotic animals, including a woolly mammoth and a sabre- toothed tiger. Prices, piece count and information on availability are yet to be announced.

There is something mysterious about a build where you’re unable to immediately tell what inspired the builder to create such an enigmatic scene. It seems simple enough, but there’s always a hidden meaning. Even just the title of this build (“Vampires”) left me wondering and compelled me to reach out to the builder, WeNoGrayD to learn more.

It only took less than two days for Eugene Tan to build this from a conceptual Lego Digital Design (LDD) file to a finished bust. Even if one isn’t a huge follower of the anime series you can tell that this is an excellent build with intricate details finished with an excellent base moulded to the headpiece. It’s particularly nice to see details around the neck area where it seemed like this headpiece was ripped out from its torso just for this display.
A closer look also shows how lighting has been integrated into the lens of the Gundam RX-O Unicorn.
Just like the scene from the Terminator movies, the missing link to the end of our world and beginnings of Skynet all began with a robotic arm, and we have Adam Wołkowycki to thank for. It all begins with innocent simple tasks like these. Grabbing an object, and performing routine tasks. All built with LEGO parts including pneumatic and electronic components. Containing 6 motors, 2 IR receivers, 7 pneumatic cylinders and 4 linear actuators.

The highly anticipated Darth Vader Pod has finally been released. LEGO fans were quite disappointed after it was initially canceled last year for the Christmas period due to manufacturing issues. Since then, we’ve known that the pod’s unique feature is its metallic/chrome-based finish, which drove up the hype when LEGO announced that it was back again for this month’s promotional giveaway. Indoraptor Rampage at Lockwood Estate 129.99 USD 1019 Pieces 
The embodiment of a mobster character is captured perfectly by Martin Redfern. Cigar, check. Tommy Gun, check. Gangster pose, check. To top it all off, the elements used for the suit for shaping makes it look like it was tailored by a master — although I suspect that may be a Sharpie-branded tie.
The accompanying cruiser is screaming out ‘mobster vehicle’ all over too! Styled in black with red highlights and chrome headlights.
And of course, when there is bad, there must be good to balance it all out.
The first Flagship store opened in Disney Resort in Shanghai back in May 2016 and was the largest LEGO Brand store in the world back in its opening. 2 years later, The LEGO Group has announced its second store scheduled to open in Autumn (end of the year) at Shanghai ShiMao Festival City in People’s Square located in the heart of the city. The new store is expected to be slightly more than half the size of the Disney Resort Store at 6297 sq feet (585 square meters) over two floors. In comparison, the first store was around 10,764 sq feet spread (1,000 square metres) over two floors.
Last year, the Shanghai Skyline LEGO Architecture skyline was revealed and with this new store in place, it is another stepping stone for LEGO’s growth in China. Read our review of the Shanghai skyline here.

It’s always impressive to see builders like BrickinNick who can do so much with relatively few elements. This miniature build of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon is impressive for this scale, looking incredibly adorable. The shaping and curves of the wings and feet all look suitably proportioned, while the green eyes and stance use just the right parts to pull it off. I just wish Nick had another angle so we could see that broken tail fin to complete the look!
The Minifigure Factory is a Gift-With-Purchase item that is quite unique in its own right and quite different from the regular promotional items — typically a build-and-display piece or a minifigure in a polybag. This set uses the box itself as part of the play construct. The theme is of a LEGO factory employee inspecting minifigures that roll off the assembly line, celebrating the 40th birthday of the first introduction of Minifigures. Let’s jump right in and take a look at what’s distinctive about this giveaway.
