This is what we’re all about. We scour the web for the best custom LEGO models to share with you. From castles and spaceships to planes, trains, and automobiles, you’ll find the best LEGO creations from builders all over the world right here on The Brothers Brick.

Walking stick battle bug

The battle bugs theme has spawned some unique insect-based mechas. This stick insect inspired battle bug by Jordan Schwartz is among one of the more novel species in its class. The creation is as fragile as it looks, and I’m afraid it may collapse if I stare too hard at it. Nevertheless it is armed with three ventral rockets and one on the tail.

Neo Classic Space Maelstrom

Tim Goddard (Roguebantha 1138) posted this awesome micro-scale Neo Classic Space ship a couple of weeks ago. I’ve just spotted it, and I think it’s great. There are so many great shapes in this, the cockpit area, the fuselage, even the wings. I guess it’s just all satisfying.

CubeDudes Invade!

Angus Maclane has been building like crazy lately. The craziness has manifested itself as CubeDudes, which appear to be famous characters with cubes for heads. They are adorable! He just posted oodles of these awesome little dudes. Click on the pictures to go to a gallery of related figures.

Fendt Xylon tractor by MisterZumbi

New vehicles from Adam Grabowski (MisterZumbi) are always a bit of an event. His latest is a Fendt Xylon, a German tractor.

LEGO bricks are good for building 8-bit graphics

Marcos Bessa also built a scene from Megaman in 3D. The combination of studs in different directions works out well, but I think the waterfall would look better if it were built with plates placed sideways (at the same time costing much more). Overall, this is an interesting creation; check out the gallery to see the original screenshot.

On the road again, with Michael Jasper

That powerhouse of a builder, Michael Jasper, has been building choppers. In his usual fashion, he’s been building a lot of them and using all sorts of different pieces in unusual ways. Check out the whole gallery for some lovely eye-candy.

We love the Furry Freak brothers...

Dmacs LEGO DT-75 Tractor

Warning! This model is 100% LEGO.

Dmac has combined practicality and raw beauty into his DT-75 tractor making a truly impressive beast. That plush seat looks so comfy I’d like to shrink myself to scale and relax.

Harrison’s LEGO Wall-E looks skyward

Harrison (corran101) says he’s had his Wall-E lying around for quite a while. This tiny diorama illustrates the continuing emotive power of Wall-E. The rundown robot in the background totally makes this, with a rusted patch and broken eye.

And don’t miss those tread marks behind Harrison’s LEGO Wall-E. Well worth the wait, I think.

Aliens

Andrew Lee has set his talented hand to some aliens in the style of, well, Alien. I think that H.R. Giger would be proud.

Andrew's Aliens

Make sure to note the fantastic technique used on the tail (you can see it wrapping around the right side of the rock). Also note the inclusion of the tiny mouth emerging from the alien’s mouth, a detail often overlooked in Aliens creations.

I’m sure I was told not to judge something by its cover.

The same applies to this creation, from Jonathon Derksen. An entry for the 23rd Challenge over at LUGNuts, the red truck is quite unassuming:

But have a look inside and see why you want this truck on YOUR side during the Zombie Apocalypse.

Vespas and Harleys of the future

The deadline for the LEGO Speeder Bikes contest just passed, and there are more than a hundred entries for the judges to peruse. A couple of my favorites from late in the contest are from mr. eugene. Eugene says that these are his first LEGO creations after emerging from a decade long LEGO hiatus. Welcome to the fold, Eugene!

Here’s his Vespa VRS 390:

Taking inspiration from the opposite end of the two-wheeled spectrum, here’s his Harley FXST-6000x Softail:

Pansymecha makes fanboy mecha swoon

I enjoy seeing genres and bandwagons being approached with a sort of irreverent creativity, so it was great to see this OTOMech Model TK-MM, built by Dave Sterling (half of ToT-LUG) for the 2009 MOClympics. It was inspired by the Otomen manga series and brainstorming with other LEGO fans, which is a great way to get silly ideas.

Tot-LUG Pansymecha

My favorite features are the kitty greebles and the simple fact that the cockpit fits a Fabuland figure, but there’s a lot of other stuff to love.
