I do love an atypical LEGO Star Wars build and Tom Gray’s latest build ticks all the boxes for me. There’s a lot to love in this Star Wars scene, starting with the diminutive Imperial agent barking orders from his seat of command. Moving beyond the figures there’s so much detail added here – just look at the stained glass window injecting colour to the whole scene using a mix of radiator grills and turntable bases to add a subtle design to the window!

See you, space elephant
Ah, Banthas. Glorious space creatures. Portrayed by elephants during the filming of Star Wars (1977) they serve as mounts for the fearsome Tusken Raiders, natives of Tatooine. And now they are ridden by a certain helmeted fan-favourite character, minus the helmet (and the character that never was.) This small desert diorama by KevFett2011 (no relation) showcases a scene from the first episode of new Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett.

Ready to race? This speeder from the Mandalorian sure is!
Jared Reisweber has created this fascinating model based on Cobb Vanth’s speeder as featured in The Mandalorian Tv series. The vehicle has an interesting design as it is made out of a podracer engine with the addition of a seat and controls for the pilot. The technical details such as the odd piping, wires and cables creates the impression that the speeder has been cobbled together out of scraps and spare parts.
From the back, there are even more intricacies such as the large wheel which forms the back thruster and the gears which might represent some of the turbines of the engine. The splayed out foot pedals are also a nice touch and demonstrates Jared’s attention to detail throughout the build.
Join the fight for the republic with this miniature walker from Star Wars
Tim Goddard has built this microscale model of an AT-TE vehicle from Star Wars. This walker sports the colours and logo of the 501st battalion, famed for being under the commander of Anakin Skywalker in the films. Turret cannons at the front and back use wands, from the Harry Potter theme, to represent thin gun barrels. Running alongside the walker is an AT-RT, which has the surprising detail of a screwdriver portraying its blaster cannon. The model also has some great shaping with strong sharp angles, created by the application of triangular tiles.
Fight for Rebels piloting this outstanding X-wing as big as the largest LEGO sets
A quick scan through Jared Reisweber‘s collection of custom builds makes it clear: you build big or you go home. Jared is at his best when managing large-scale vehicles and spaceships. For me, it was out of question whether Jared would build an X-wing; it was all about when he would finally design one. Now, here comes one of the most impressive brick-built Star Wars fighters consisting of mind-blowing 7,349 pieces.
This X-wing is 600 pieces bigger than the recent Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75313 AT-AT, and all these pieces result in striking details. Thanks to the sheer scale of the model, Jared uses multi-layers combinations of plates for a genuinely realistic design.
The build measures 33.3″ x 36.9″ (roughly 80 by 90 cm). With adjustable wings, such a centerpiece could easily outmatch even the most giant LEGO Star Wars spaceships, like 75252 Ultimate Collector Series Imperial Star Destroyer. But which scale would you prefer for your Star Wars collection?
New LEGO Star Wars 2022 sets featuring Hoth revealed online [News]
With two new LEGO Star Wars 2022 sets revealed today, it’s safe to say LEGO is paying yet another visit to the distant and cold world of Hoth. The new sets are full of minifigures — both good guys and bad guys — and will complement the new Ultimate Collector Series 75313 AT-AT just perfectly. And while the AT-AT will be available starting November 26, the other sets are slated for release January 1, 2022.
Forget Podracing, Grievous has some new wheels
LEGO Youtuber and LEGO Masters Contestant Boone Langston has created this unusual upgrade for the LEGO Star Wars General Grievous’s Starfighter set. This version adds monstrous wheels, an exposed engine and a spoiler to the vehicle. The build is also reminiscent of the car designs in the Mad Max films and has the fun detail of a scoop used as its front bumper.
Perhaps the droid general will be able to outrun Obi-Wan Kenobi, in this…
There is also a video where Boone breaks down his process, involved creating this unique looking racer.
