LEGO Star Wars 75341 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder revealed as next Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set [News]

Today LEGO is revealing the long-rumored Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) version of one of the most iconic vehicles from Star Wars with 75341 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder. This 1,890-piece set features a large-scale version of the X-34 landspeeder along with a stand, info placard, and minifigures of Luke and C-3PO. Luke appears to be the same version that’s been in a number of sets previously, such as 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. C-3PO is a new print that’s unique even from the one in this year’s 75339 Death Star Trash Compactor. The UCS Landspeeder will arrive just in time for the annual Star Wars holiday of May the Fourth, with the set available to LEGO VIP members starting May 1, and general availability a few days later on May 4. It will retail for US $199.99 | CAN $269.99 | UK £174.99.

LEGO STAR WARs™ LandSpeeder – building set PRODUCT PRESS RELEASE

THIS IS THE LEGO® STAR WARS™ LANDSPEEDER™
BUILDING SET YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR

21st April 2022: Today, the LEGO Group announces the new epic LEGO® Star Wars™ Luke Skywalker™ Landspeeder™ set – the latest in the LEGO Ultimate Collector Series (UCS). A faithful recreation of Luke’s battered vehicle, the new 1,890-piece model is a must have for Star Wars and LEGO fans alike.

X-34 Landspeeders were typical civilian transports, designed to withstand the roughest terrains. The Landspeeder was first seen in Star Wars: A New Hope™, where Luke used the vehicle extensively as part of his farm work, travelling across Tatooine’s™ harsh deserts. Accompanied by C-3PO™, Luke used the Landspeeder to locate R2-D2™, when he was discovered by Obi-Wan Kenobi™. It was also the vehicle they were travelling in when Obi-Wan used a Jedi™ mind trick to get past stormtroopers guarding entry into Mos Eisley™. Eventually Luke sold the Landspeeder to pay for his transport to the planet Alderaan™.

The LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker Landspeeder building set is 49 centimetres long when complete and features the two-seater cockpit, the turbine engine without a cover, the iconic curved cockpit windscreen plus an exclusive C-3PO™ minifigure (with 2K moulded legs and a side print) and Luke minifigure – complete with lightsaber.

This much-anticipated set makes for the perfect piece to display and show off your love of Star Wars and LEGO building. Even the unboxing is a fun journey within itself, with the vibrant packaging showing off the intricate details of the final built set from several different perspectives.

The new set forms part of the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series sets, which also include the Millennium Falcon™, the A-Wing, the Republic Gunship, and the recently released AT-AT™.

The Landspeeder buiding set has been expertly created by LEGO set designer César Carvalhosa Soares. Discussing the design, César said, “It’s been an amazing adventure creating Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder in LEGO brick form. It is such an iconic vehicle in the Star Wars saga. We’ve ensured no detail has been forgotten and have even included some of the scratches. The finished product makes an incredible display and is the perfect addition to the UCS collection.”

The LEGO Star Wars Landspeeder set is available for LEGO VIPs (LEGO.com/VIP) from 1st of May 2022 and everyone from 4th May 2022 from LEGO Stores and LEGO.com/star-wars, at the recommended retail price of $199.99 / £174.99 / € 199.99

Just what we need…ANOTHER landspeeder. Just kidding.

After years of all but confirmed rumors one of Lego’s worst kept secrets has finally been announced.

Nice looking set. As a collector of the Black Series figures, I think this would be a fun one to cross collections with, it looks like almost the perfect size for the black series figures as well.

John, I occasionally think the old Technic figure might have been worth keeping. Looking at the scale of this speeder and some Creator vehicles they would fit as “Lego canon”. The problem is often there is no leg room in the design.

I think you’re probably right on leg room, even if he just sat on the front… better than a minifig anyway in this case.

the ghostbusters plasma series figures work quite nicely with the 10274 ecto-1 and the neca back to the future figures with the 10300 time machine.
