The magic of Willow can be yours

If you missed the epic Lucas/Howard film in 1988 as I did, then you can redeem yourself in a couple of different ways. You may catch the new series streaming on Disney Plus starting today. Apparently, Warwick Davis will be reprising his titular role as the diminutive Willow Ufgood. Secondly, you may gaze upon this amazing LEGO playset built by Tobias Roloff. I can’t name these characters nor recall the scenes depicted here but, despite missing out on the cinematic action long ago, I know a fun playset when I see one. I mean, just look at those great textures and plant life and suspended bridges! You, on the other hand, may be better versed in the action sequences depicted here and you may be losing your collective cookies at the total awesomeness illustrated here.

Thirdly, (Did I mention there was a third option?) Tobias isn’t shy about notifying you that you can vote for this on LEGO Ideas to make this Willow playset a reality. If seeing this as a real set and getting it into your hot little hands is a thrill to you, then be sure to check out his Flickr stream where he conveniently provides the link for you to support this idea.

Will you get a kick out of LEGO Ideas 21337 Table Football [REVIEW]

LEGO Ideas has produced an increasing number of sets based on contests, in addition to the regular get-10,000-votes method. Most of these have been smaller gift-with-purchase items, but LEGO Ideas 21337 Table Football joins 21329 Fender Stratocaster as a full-size retail set. This was the winning submission in the We Love Sports LEGO Ideas contest, and let’s get right to the main question: the winning submission was a full-size, 11-on-11 table football setup (usually referred to as foosball in the U.S.). When the contest results were announced, lots of fans were excited to get a near full-size playable game. That swiftly turned to disappointment when the official pictures were released. The set has been scaled down to 5-a-side, less than half the size of the original! While there are very clear reasons for that choice, does it still leave us with a desirable set? LEGO Ideas 21337 Table Football, with 2,339 pieces and a whopping 22* minifigures (* and even more hair and heads), is available now for US $249.99 | CAN $309.99 | UK £214.99.

LEGO Ideas reveals 21337 Table Football, a 2,300-piece playable game table [News]

Today LEGO Ideas has revealed the next fan-inspired set will be 21337 Table Football. LEGO builder Donát Fehérvári submitted the project to Ideas as part of the special We Love Sports contest on the platform, where it won the grand prize last summer. The finished 2,339-piece LEGO Ideas set created by LEGO Designer Antica Bracanov positions minifigures as the players inside a functional—if miniaturized—table with ball returns and score counters. Full-size table football games (frequently known by the trademarked name Foosball) typically include eight rows of players, with 11 players for each team. The LEGO version downsizes that to just 5 players on each team on the field, but the full complement of 22 minifigures are included in the set. Rather than including predetermined minifigures for the teams, the set includes more than 40 minifigure heads and hairpieces across a range of skin tones, along with an extra bit of stadium seating for the inactive players that also functions as a storage box for the spare pieces. 21337 Table Football will be available starting Nov. 1, 2022, for US $249.99 | CAN $309.99 | UK £241.99.

LEGO Ideas 21336 The Office – Home of the World’s best boss [REVIEW]

The LEGO Ideas theme has led to many popular shows finding new life in plastic bricks, from The Big Bang Theory, Seinfeld, Friends, and more. Well, fans of the hit American show based on the hit British show The Office can finally join in the fun with LEGO Ideas 21336: The Office, which includes 1,164 pieces and will be available on Oct 1, 2022 for US $119.99 | CAN $144.99 | UK £104.99

LEGO Ideas reveals 21336 The Office, now available for pre-order [News]

Folks, Pretzel Day has come early! This morning, LEGO debuted it’s latest Ideas set: 21336 The Office. Based on the US television show of the same name, the diorama features a whopping 15 minifigures! Almost all of the regular cast members are featured, as it looks like Andy may be off at anger management after punching a Technic hole in the wall. In these 1,164 pieces, we also get details from some of our favorite storylines: Meredith’s encounter with a bat, the teapot, “Lazy Scranton,” Kevin’s chili, and the iconic stapler in jello. Forget new chairs or a new copier, this is where the surplus should go! LEGO Ideas The Office is now available for pre-order in the US and Canada, with release on October 1st. It retails for US $119.99 | CAN $149.99 | UK £104.99

LEGO reveals 21333 Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh as next Ideas set [News]

After announcing it in February of last year as the next fan-designed set from their crowd-sourcing platform Ideas, LEGO is finally taking the wraps off the official set, letting us get our first look at 21333 Starry Night. The original project, depicting Vincent van Gogh’s famous 1889 painting of Saint-Rémy, France, was submitted by Hong Kong-based LEGO fan Truman Cheng (aka legotruman) back in July of 2020 before reaching the 10k votes threshold to be considered by LEGO just a month later. The final set contains 2,316 pieces and includes a framed version of the painting with sculptural elements to mimic the brush strokes, along with a minifigure of van Gogh and a miniature printed version of the painting on an easel. The set also represents a new licensing partnership between LEGO and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), which owns the artwork. The set will retail for US $159.99 | CAN $219.99 | UK £169.99 and will be available to LEGO VIP members starting May 25, with a general release on June 1.
