LEGO Star Wars 75329 Death Star Trench Run and 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training revealed [News]

Thanks to Amazon.es, we’re getting our first look at a pair of brand new Star Wars sets aimed at adult collectors. First up is 75329 Death Star Trench Run, a microscale diorama featuring the famous climactic scene from A New Hope, with Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced flanked by two TIE Fighters chasing Luke Skywalker’s X-wing against the greebled, grey backdrop of the Death Star. Printed tiles on the front of the base show the LEGO Star Wars logo along with Darth Vader’s famous line “The Force is strong with this one.” The Amazon page doesn’t yet list much information, but we do know the set contains 665 pieces and will retail for €59.99, which we estimate to be US $59.99 | CAN $79.99 | UK £54.99. We also get a sneak peek at another set that’s in the same series, 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training, which is listed for €79.99 or about $79.99 USD. There’s no official word yet on when we can expect these sets to be released, though given that Amazon has begun to list them, it’s a safe bet they’ll arrive soon.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes 76219 Spider-Man & Green Goblin Mech Battle [Review]

The greatest foes in comic history are always two sides of the same coin. Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) is a scientifically minded young man; an underdog driven to use his powers to responsibly serve his city. Norman Osborn (aka The Green Goblin) is something of a scientist himself; a billionaire who only craves more power, even at the expense of anyone who gets in his way. These two have been engaged in a constant struggle on the comic book page since the early 60s. Now LEGO is bringing their battle to toy shelves once again, this time arming each of them with a giant mech suit. Mechs for these two might seem weird at first glance, but both characters regularly rely on tech like web shooters and goblin gliders. So maybe this upgrade isn’t that far-fetched. Besides, putting Marvel characters into giant mechs seems to be a formula that’s working for LEGO. But does the success of the formula repeat itself here? LEGO Creator Expert 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine – Well, it’s about time. [Review]

Oh, we’ve seen LEGO Back to the Future time machines before. Beyond numerous excellent fan versions, there have been two official sets: 2013’s CUUSOO 21103 Back to the Future and 2017’s Dimensions 71201: Back to the Future Level Pack. But really, neither of those sets were terribly accurate takes on this iconic movie vehicle. Now, after years of rumors, false leaks, and empty hopes, LEGO has announced Creator Expert 10300: Back to the Future Time Machine. This 1872 piece set will be available April 1st for US $169.99 | CAN $219.99 | UK £149.99. Will the third time be the charm? Or will we have to hope someone goes back in time yet again to try and fix things?

LEGO reveals 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine DeLorean in Creator Expert scale [News]

Today LEGO is introducing the latest pop culture icon to get a brick makeover with 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine. This 1,872-piece set features the famous customized DeLorean in Creator Expert scale at 14 inches long (35cm) with a full interior, a light-up flux capacitor, opening hood and doors, as well as transforming functions such as the wheels tucking in to fly. The set also includes two minifigures of Doc Brown and Marty McFly, and a UCS-style info placard to display them on. The new large-scale DeLorean joins a series of existing Back to the Future LEGO sets including a minifigure-scale time machine, a pair of Brickheadz, and a couple of Dimensions packs. The new set will retail for US $169.99 | CAN $219.99 | UK £149.99 when it’s available starting April 1.

LEGO 41950 Lots of DOTS: Lettering – Just your type(face) [Review]

We’ve been taking a look at the new sets from the DOTS theme for Spring 2022, and found some serious ups and downs in the 41951 and 41952 Bulletin Board offerings. Now we turn our collective eyes towards a set designed to bring those two sets up a notch. LEGO 41950 Lots of DOTS: Lettering is available now for US $19.99 | CAN $24.99 | UK £17.99 | EUR €19.99. Making legible text out of LEGO is a bit of a challenge – will this new DOTS accessory pack help put the “fun” into “font”? (If so, how would you even pronounce that?)

Speed Champions have been widely regarded as on of the best themes LEGO has to offer. Even if cars and similar vehicles are of no interest to you, these small display sets may have impressed you in one way or the other. LEGO Speed Champions 76900: Koenigsegg Jesko may look like the weaker sets from the Summer 2021 lineup, but it may be a long-awaited model of the Swedish car brand. It is still a great-looking LEGO car with an enjoyable build, and more importantly, it has fewer stickers than the average Speed Champions set. Coming in at 280 pieces and one minifigure, it is currently available for US $19.99 | CAN $24.99 | UK £17.99. Does this set convey LEGO’s love to its neighbouring automobile industry? LEGO Gift with Purchase 40530 Jane Goodall Tribute [Review]

The latest set in LEGO’s ongoing influential personalities, 40540 Jane Goodall Tribute, celebrates Dr. Jane Goodall, the famed scientist whose groundbreaking work has expanded our understanding of primates. Like previous influential personalities sets such as 40450 Amelia Earhart Tribute and 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute, it features a small vignette on a display stand and is available only as a gift with purchase. This time around you’ll need to spend US $120 | CAN $TBD | UK £120 with LEGO between March 3 and March 15 in order to qualify. The set contains 275 pieces.

LEGO Brick Sketches 40535 Iron Man and 40536 Miles Morales revealed [News]

One of LEGO’s secondary product lines, Brick Sketches, has just got two new products. Revealed online, it’s 40535 Iron Man and 40536 Miles Morales, which are brick-built portraits of two major Marvel superheroes. Both sets go on sale on April 1, for US $16.99, or £14.99.

LEGO Harry Potter 76396 & 76397 Hogwarts Moments: Divination and Defense Classes [Review]

Last year we got four new Harry Potter books to add to our shelves celebrating the subjects taught at Hogwarts School. In addition to the initial Transfiguration and Potions classes, we were also given the Charms and Herbology lessons. These clever little sets expanded on previous Disney storybook playsets that provided younger LEGO fans with portable scenes and characters, and the translation to the Wizarding World has been fantastic. Back at again this year, LEGO is giving us two more lessons Tetris-ed in between custom printed covers. The first new lesson is 76396 Hogwarts Moment: Divination Class which has 297 pieces and comes with Professor Trelawney, Harry Potter, and Parvati Patil minifigures for US $29.99 | CAN $39.99 | UK £24.99. The next is 76396 Hogwarts Moment: Defence Against the Dark Arts Class with 257 pieces and Professor Moody, Hermione Granger, and Neville Longbottom minifigures for US $29.99 | CAN $39.99 | UK £24.99. Both are available on the LEGO Shop starting March 1st.
