HispaBrick Magazine issue 032 now available for free download [News]

In case you didn’t know, today is International Women’s Day! As tribute and in celebration of all the wonderful women in the LEGO community, HispaBrick’s latest issue showcases articles and interviews featuring incredible female builders and designers from all over the world.

Guys and gals alike will appreciate this issue. I’ve had a chance to read it myself, and as a female builder, it makes me proud of how much we bring to the table in a community somewhat dominated by the guys. But genders aside, the current issue is something everyone can learn and benefit from. Particularly intriguing is the interview with a few of the designers who are responsible for your favorite Collectible Minifigures. Best of all, the magazine is completely free to download.

Here’s Hispabrick’s press release:

Today is International Women’s Day, and the HispaBrick Magazine team has worked hard to create aspecial themed issue to participate in this celebration. HispaBrick Magazine 032 celebrates the Female Fan of LEGO (FFOL) in many different ways. The theme for International Women’s Day 2019 is #BalanceForBetter. To promote this theme we have invited Regina Mateos Rodilla to write an editorial as well as an article about what being a fan of LEGO means to her. We have also included interviews with female builders like Sachiko Akinaga, Mariann Asunama, Alice Finch and Jessica Farrell. Karine Linder from Stuck in Plastic has provided us with some insights from photographers like @by_a.n.n.a and @lady_brick. We interviewed Tara Wike and Austin Carlson who work for LEGO on the collectible minifigures series, and Asha Seshan and Anika Brandsma talk about their passion for LEGO Robotics. Patricia Tsoiasue talks about 2×4 Day, and Evelyn gives us an insider look into how some kids live their LEGO passion. This and much more makes for another issue full of different and engaging LEGO-related content. To underscore this celebration, we have decided to make this a free issue (like all the previous issues), so come over and download it from our website at no cost whatsoever. Spread the word: it’s free!!

More LEGO sets from Avengers: Endgame revealed, including War Machine Buster & Ultimate Quinjet [News]

Hot on the heels of our announcement earlier today of the Iron Man Hall of Armour set, Amazon has revealed four more sets based on the upcoming Avengers: Endgame film. Unsurprisingly, the four additional sets focus on a variety of action sequences as the remaining superheroes battle Thanos and his Outrider minions. Given the film’s hotly anticipated April 26 release (now less than two months away), we’ll go ahead and throw out a potential spoiler warning for the contents.

As is often the case with early reveals like this, we don’t yet have word on the part counts, price, or exact release date, but you can expect that these will be hitting stores fairly soon — likely within the next month — along with a deluge of other merchandise to precede the mega-franchise finale. EDIT: The Avengers Endgame sets are now available from LEGO.

LEGO Avengers: Endgame 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armor set revealed [News]

Today, Amazon is giving us our first official look a new set from the upcoming Avengers: Endgame branded LEGO sets, and it seems to be pretty much spoiler-free for what’s bound to be one of the most anticipated films of the year. 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armor features a portion of Tony Stark’s workshop with displays for his various suits of armor, going all the way back to the Mk 1 with its bare metal and welded mask. Other suits include the Mk 5, Mk 41, Mk 50, and the huge Hulk Buster-like Mk 38. The set also includes two of Thanos’ Outriders.

There’s no word yet on other specific details for the set, such as the number of pieces, price, or release date. Avengers: Endgame will release in theaters April 26. Be sure to also check out the rest of Avengers: Endgame LEGO sets. EDIT: The set is now available from LEGO.

Is the LEGO Creator Expert 10265 Ford Mustang the best LEGO car yet? [Review]

There are few cars more iconic than the Ford Mustang, which surpassed 10 million sold last year. So it’s fitting that the LEGO Creator Expert theme’s next automobile replica represents this piece of muscle car history. After taking us back 50 years to the world of spies and intrigue with the James Bond Aston Martin DB5 last August, LEGO is remaining in the 1960s with a striking blue-and-white version of the original pony car. Although LEGO coyly dodges addressing the specific year of the car (consistently referring to it as simply a 1960s model) the license plate and styling indicate that it’s primarily based on the GT Fastback from the 1967 model year. Available beginning March 1, 10265 Ford Mustang has 1,471 pieces and retails for $149.99 USD | $199.99 CAD | £119.99 GBP Click to read the full hands-on review
