LEGO Ninjago 71746 Jungle Dragon [Review]

The upcoming season of Ninjago is an Island-based storyline, and LEGO will be releasing a number of sets to go along with the televised adventures. The 506 piece Ninjago 71746 Jungle Dragon will be available March 1st from the LEGO Shop Online for US $39.99 | CAN $49.99 | UK £34.99. It will feature Zippy the Jungle Dragon (yes, really), a small sailboat, and four minifigures. Previous Ninjago dragons have ranged from the really fantastic to the pretty lack-luster. Where does the Jungle Dragon fall on that spectrum? And will it earn bonus points for all that glorious teal brick? Read on and see!

LEGO Education BricQ Motion is now available on LEGO online shop [News]

LEGO Education BricQ Motion is the latest package introduced by LEGO for lower and upper elementary school students to be introduced to hands-on STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Mathematics). The Brothers Brick reviewed the 45401 LEGO Education BricQ Motion Essential Set earlier this year.

LEGO cancels VIP promotion for Creator Expert 10295 Porsche 911 Turbo & 911 Targa in North America [News]

LEGO has canceled the VIP promotion for the North American market for its upcoming Creator Expert vehicle, 10295 Porsche 911 Turbo & 911 Targa. The company says the change is due to shipping issues. The set goes on sale for LEGO VIP members this Tuesday, Feb. 16, before its wider release March 1, retailing for US $149.99 | CAN $199.99 | UK £119.99.

The new Porsche 911 kit was originally slated to ship with a “Porsche Owners Pack” for customers who purchased the set during the early VIP window. The Gift With Purchase would include a special pack of promotional materials, including a LEGO Porsche card wallet, four art prints, and a “Certificate of Awesomeness.” It appears the promotion will still be available in other markets, but it will not be offered to North American customers, leaving customers in North America to turn to resellers if they want these exclusive goodies.

First dates and breaking the ice with LEGO [News]

LEGO is doubling down on focussing on the Adult market with a video just under 2 minutes featuring six strangers out on their first date. The setting in this typical session of mixed emotions ranging from being tensed up and full of anxiety are also those moments of silence, but with one difference – a LEGO set placed between the two individuals meeting for the first time.

LEGO Ninjago Season 3 Full Trailer released [News]

LEGO just shared the full trailer for Season 3 of Ninjago. Season 3 titled The Island and is expected to be released in the first half of 2021. The trailer starts off with the announcement of Misako Montgomery Garmadon gone missing and presumed lost as the team rallies together to search for her at an unknown Island.

The Emperor arrives aboard LEGO Star Wars 75302 Imperial Shuttle [Review]

Making its first appearance in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, the Imperial Lambda-class shuttle is one of the Empire’s most iconic small spacecraft, with its folding wings and tall white dorsal fin. Maybe that explains why LEGO keeps releasing new versions. 75302 Imperial Shuttle is the fifth incarnation at or around minifig scale. LEGO wins four Toy of the Year (TOTY) 2021 Awards from Toy Association [News]

Every year, the “Oscars” of the toy industry, Toy of the Year (TOTY) awards recognises the best of the best in the scene. The Toy Association is a nonprofit foundation that brings toys and grant funding to children’s charities across North America and around the world. For the 2021 awards, LEGO picked up 4 awards in several categories.

Minifigures from LEGO Ideas 21319 Central Perk set are now available as keychains [News]

Brand new LEGO keychains with minifigures from LEGO Ideas 21319 Central Perk set are available from LEGO.com right now. There are six keychains listed online meaning that each of the main characters got their own keychain, except for Gunther. The keychains look identical to the minifigures that can be found in the Ideas set, and retail for US $5.99 | CAN $6.99 | UK £3.99 each.

LEGOLAND New York needs your help to name their Big Red Dino [News]

LEGOLAND New York, which will open its doors sometime later this year is looking for your help to name the Big Red Dino that will be a centrepiece on Brick Street at LEGOLAND New York Resort. It’s made out of 182,101 LEGO DUPLO Bricks and over 1800 hours to build weighing 6245 pounds (over 2832 kgs).
