LEGO’s 2015 line of Architecture sets introduced a skyline format which has become quite popular amoung fan builders from Paris to Tokyo. Simon NH takes a brand new approach to creating skylines, building a one-of-a-kind evolution of construction. No matter how much building experience you have, each of these tiny structures features some crazy solutions, like the Colosseum’s walls built from light bluish gray 1×1 tiles with 1/2 circle (aka Stadium tiles).

Prepare for impact! Full power!
Talented Canadian builder Simon Liu confesses his love for the majestic Star Destroyers of the Star Wars universe by recreating an episode of the final battle from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story where two of them, well, are being destroyed. With numerous debris torn off the ship’s surface, this unusual diorama is much more complicated than just two starships colliding. The way each piece is connected creates a strong illusion that every part of this scene is actually floating in open space above Scarif.
And, of course, here is the hero of the battle — a small Hammerhead corvette pushing one of the Destroyers towards its certain doom. And it’s impossible to ignore Simon’s keen eye to details with an edge of the Destroyer’s body being actually crushed by the Hammerhead.
LEGO Batman Movie 70916 The Batwing [Review]
Besides bringing some of the most hilarious Batman adventures to the big screen, The LEGO Batman Movie also teased us with a glimpse of an enormous collection of Bat-vehicles stored in Bruce Wayne’s basement. It’s sad we didn’t get a chance to see a Bat-Space Shuttle or a Bat-kayak in action, but some other loveable gems of the collection are already in toy stores. 70916 The Batwing, with 1,053 pieces, is just 400 pieces smaller than the gigantic 70916 The Ultimate Batmobile, and retails at $89.99, which makes it the second largest set of the summer wave.

Keep an eye out for black, white and dark red in the sky above
After a long break, German builder Sylon-tw is back into his assembly hall proving that his futuristic airplanes are still dominating LEGO skies. Instead of the dieselpunk go-to colors of grey, dark blue, bright red, or reddish brown, Thomas goes for bold black on the body and elegant decorations of white and dark red stripes. Combined with short droid bodies, the dinosaur flippers work perfectly as propeller blades. And in a nice change from convention, the aircraft has a fetching female pilot.
LEGO Creator Expert 10258 London Bus is the latest addition to your London-themed LEGO collection [News]
Since the introduction of 10253 Big Ben, 10214 Tower Bridge and some LEGO Architecture sets, the LEGO Company seems to be on a mission to LEGO-ify London. Today, they’re adding more to the batch with a model of another hallmark of the British capital with the 10258 London Bus. This 1686 piece set will be an awesome addition to the LEGO Creator vehicle lineup as well, taking its place right next to another British icon, the 10242 Mini Cooper. The iconic red double-decker bus is an impressive copy of an AEC Routemaster, which first appeared on London streets in 1956 and ran till late 2005, becoming one of the world’s best-known public transportation vehicles.
If you want to be among the first fans to see 10258 London Bus in person, on July 1 you can visit one of 5 LEGO brand stores in London for an official unveiling of the set and the ability to purchase it early. For everyone else, however, if you want to buy one you’ll have to wait for the launch date of August 1, 2017, or get VIP early access on July 17. We’ve got the full press release, designer video, and all the images below.
The London Bus will retail for $139.99 in the USA and £109.99 and €119.99 in the UK and Germany, respectively.
An executive sedan of the 2000s built with LEGO pieces of today
France is very, very good at cheese, fashion and wine—and occasionally at engineering autos. A legendary Peugeot 607 from the early 2000’s turned out to be good enough to merit being recreated with LEGO pieces somewhat 15 years later by Latvian builder Rolands Kirpis. If you’re a long-time Rolands fan, you’re likely used to his unique style of building which largely avoids curved slopes yet achieves a smooth look anyway. The scale of the car is similar to the famous Miniland vehicles, yet just a little bit bigger, giving more space in the design for smooth transitions and some neat touches like pretty accurate mud guards.
Hey, what’s the drill?
MFS-012 Drillmaster by Japanese builder Moko is a trailblazing building experiment involving some fiery orange pieces along with a handful of shiny chrome silver Rock Raiders drills. It’s hard to imagine the purpose of so many drills on the mech’s back, but who cares? The result is dazzling.
Moko’s even included some battle shots of the mech drilling down to business.

And I think to myself, what a wonderful build!
BrickHeadz is a genre determined by some strict guidelines. However Krzysztof J does an awesome job of building beyond any rules. A ridiculously huge and funny trumpet and a wide glowing smile are what making a little figurine of Louis Armstrong instantly recognizable. Bonus points for such a smart one-piece classic bowtie.
LEGO Batman Movie 70913 Scarecrow Fearful Face-off [Review]
It’s been months since The LEGO Batman Movie hit screens to become one of the best pictures of the year. But the party isn’t over — five more LEGO sets are just out, bringing some of Batman’s most loveable enemies. The Brothers Brick has already covered the summer wave’s flagship, 70917 The Ultimate Batmobile, but the smaller boxes still hold some surprises. 70913 Scarecrow Fearful Face-off has 141 pieces, making it the third-smallest box among the LEGO Batman Movie sets, but its retail price of $14.99 makes it a perfect choice for Bat-fans looking to add to their collection.
It’s not the first time Batman has met Scarecrow in this line. In 70910 Scarecrow Special Delivery the villain tried to break into the Gotham energy plant disguised as a pizza delivery driver. This time the bad guy shows up piloting a helipcopter and bombarding the facility with fear gas bombs.
