LEGO Certified Professional Sean Kenney sculpts much accuracy into these Smart Car models. He has made five copies that are fully glued, which can be purchased for $475, which is quite a luxury to afford.

Chinese Lion
Nelson Yrizarry‘s Chinese Lion from the culture classic lion dance is easily recognizable as an iconic symbol of the Chinese culture. But I have to say that it look rather cute in its LEGO version and resembles candy, mmm sweet.

Baby wants chocolate
Nelson Yrizarry sculpts a giant bar of dark chocolate.
Unwrapping the mega candy bar, we find a lovely surprise. Although it’s not a golden ticket to the chocolate factory, it’s something equally surprising: baby Toby! Toby is a character of Builders Lounge first appearing in a creation by me and then ended up in the hands of Brent Wolke to be swallowed by a monster. Since then, it is now a tradition to pass the headless baby Toby around the world to be featured in various bizzarre ways.
Nathan Sawaya exhibits brick art in Hawaii
With appearances on Letterman and Colbert, “brick artist” Nathan Sawaya is quite possibly the only LEGO builder with anything close to celebrity status — and deservedly so.
Nathan has recently opened an exhibit at the Pearlridge Shopping Center in Aiea, HI. He debuted several new sculptures, including “Green” below:
Nathan also did some onsite work. Here he is working on a mosaic of the Hawaiian flag:

Triumphant Samurai
Tyler’s (Legohaulic) fantasy samurai stands gracefully poised while clutching the head of a slayed monster. Inspired by this artwork, Tyler captures the victorious pose and the dazzling fantasy elements and depicts them all in this sculpture.
Exterminate! Kill the doctor!
Steven Locke (legoavon) presents a work-in-progress Dalek and Davros which are already by far the best I’ve seen at their size (Steven has also built bigger ones which are possibly better). His part use is breathtaking. I invite every sci-fi lover to browse Steve’s folders as he is an incredibly talented builder.
Model of the Empire State to be displayed in the real building
LEGO Certified Professional Sean Kenney recently sculpted the Empire State Building, which was commissioned to be the centerpiece at the new gift shop in the real Empire State Building. Sean points out the fun fact that since the model will be located at the observation deck, it will become the highest LEGO sculpture in the world. Click on the photo below to read more.

Gugick’s Taj Mahal makes it to the movies
The skilled landmark modeler Arthur Gugick‘s recent landmark sculpture is made for a special purpose; it is a commissioned piece for an Australian movie called Taj (more details on MOCpages). Here’s an interesting fact: the model was constructed to be purposely damaged in the movie, and specilized fracture-points were incorporated so the model would break apart into about 40 pieces when it gets tipped over in one of the scenes.
