Collectible Minifigures Series 18 are officially available now, and this series will be among the most popular ever. We brought you a thorough review of the whole set of party-themed characters a few weeks ago to help you decide which characters you want, and now it’s time to help you find them. Whether you want all 17 characters or just that one awesome minifigure, you’ll have a few options.
Despite an official release date on April 20, LEGO Star Wars sets from Solo: A Star Wars Story are beginning to hit store shelves all over the world, and we’ve picked up copies of several of the sets so you can get a first look at these upcoming sets. 75210 Moloch’s Landspeeder will retail for $39.99 and includes 464 pieces with two minifigures and a pair of white Corellian hounds.
With the movie release nearly two months away, the sets released ahead of the film tend not to have much in the way of spoilers, but if you’re assiduously avoiding even the names of characters on LEGO boxes, this will serve as your mild spoiler warning.

LEGO launched their Infinity War tie-in sets and the Hulkbuster at the beginning of the month, so we managed to snag a few freebies along with our 76105 Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition. One of the free gifts was a promotional polybag 30525 The Guardians Ship, which depicts a miniature version of the ship in 76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle. Little is known about the Guardian Ship as it features in an upcoming movie, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War that is released next month.
After weeks of teasing, LEGO finally unveiled the new LEGO Ideas 21314 Tron: Legacy yesterday, and we’re pleased to bring you this early review of the set scheduled for release on March 31. The set includes 230 pieces and three minifigs, featuring two light cycles with blue and orange highlights.

Once upon a time way back in the 1990s, in the far-away kingdom of Denmark, the LEGO Model Team theme was born — a theme so brilliant, none of the sets was ever called disappointing or failed. But one day the theme was violently discontinued with no hope that it would be brought back. For many years, both young and adult LEGO builders cherished their dreams about seeing those sets in toy stores again. And it looks like the much-needed flash of hope is finally here: LEGO Technic 42078 Mack Anthem seems to be an example of a nearly flawless toy and display model.
The set is the fifth biggest in the history of the LEGO Technic theme, counting 2,595 pieces. The Mack Anthem features no costly Power Functions or pneumatics elements, so its retail price of £139.99 / $179.99 / 149.99€ makes it the most reasonable choice for pure brick volume among LEGO Technic sets of the first half of 2018.

We first brought you the news about the LEGO BrickHeadz 41597 Go Brick Me customization kit at Toy Fair in New York last month. It was clear from the parts selection and packaging that LEGO intends builders to create a broad range of characters from the set, which includes 708 pieces for $29.99 (and will be available on April 1st but is starting to show up in the wild already).
This set is an utterly unique LEGO set, remarkable in many ways. We purchased a couple early copies of the set from a major US retailer, and we spent an entertaining evening building avatars of ourselves and a diverse cast of interesting characters. Let’s dig in and see what’s so different about this LEGO set.

Ever since LEGO introduced the minifigure, the tiny plastic characters have enthralled children and adults around the world. With hundreds of new figures each year, they’ve consistently proven to be one of LEGO’s most popular attractions, featuring prominently in most of LEGO’s products, and of course, they’ve spawned a whole theme just for themselves. Eight years from their inception, we’re now up to Minifigures Series 18 (71021), though of course there have been more than 18 series, with some special themes like The Simpsons or Team GB falling outside the numbering system. This wave of Collectible Minfigures (CMFs) features 17 unique characters and will retail for $3.99 USD. They should be available around April 1, though if previous series are any indication they may begin showing up in stores sooner. Let’s dive in and see what Series 18 is all about. We’re beginning to wind down our reviews of the first 2018 wave of LEGO Speed Champions, and today we take a closer look at another Ford racecar, 75885 Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC. The Ford Fiesta retails for $14.99, with 203 pieces and a minifig driver.

Unlike the charming LEGO Ideas 21313 Ship in a Bottle, the new LEGO Technic 42074 Racing Yacht, despite also being a ship, doesn’t come inside a brick-built bottle. Instead, this bright and vivid ship was designed for high-speed regattas. Even though its playability is rather limited, the set can give a young builder the very basic idea of a modern racing vessel’s mechanisms. The set is just 330-pieces big, but its retail price of £24.99/$39.99/29.99€ can make it a pretty good addition to your collection if you can deal with the model’s flaws…

The largest LEGO set in the first LEGO Speed Champions wave of 2018 is 75889 Ferrari Ultimate Garage, which includes 841 pieces and 7 minifigures. The set goes on sale for $99.99 beginning on March 1st, and LEGO sent us an early copy of the set so we could bring you this review on the day of its release.
75889 Ferrari Ultimate Garage showcases three iconic Ferrari racecars from three eras — the Ferrari 250 GTO from 1962, Ferrari 312 T4 from 1979, and current 488 GTE (the model one generation earlier than the racecar in 75886 Ferrari 488 GT3 “Scuderia Corsa”, which we reviewed earlier this week).

2018 marks the fourth year for Speed Champions, LEGO’s minifigure-scale line of licensed vehicles. As with nearly all the previous lineups, the six sets in this year’s wave focus on sports and racing cars. We’re kicking off our reviews with set 75888 Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0, which features new and classic versions of the iconic sports car that’s defined the luxury brand for more than half a century. The set also includes a tiny bit of trackway with a lap clock, along with drivers for each car and a support crewman. It includes 391 pieces and retails for $29.99 USD.
