As Disney continues to absorb every form of media, it will only be a matter of time before the House of Mouse releases a Star Wars/Marvel Comics crossover film. Not one to wait for the inevitable, builder Veynom has taken the first step with a pair of Battle Droids from the Star Wars universe that are truly Super Soldiers. There’s classic “Steve Roger Rogers” with a bright blue color scheme and vintage shield, and modern “Steve Roger Rogers” with an Avengers-era, dark-blue color scheme and shield from the 76168 Captain America Mech Armor. While the pun in the name here is just *chef’s kiss* perfect, I still want to see Veynom tackle the rest of the Avengers in a similar style. There were a lot of droids in the Clone Wars…I’m sure there are some other great matches out there. (At least give us a Super Battle Droid in green with purple pants.)

LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga 76209 Thor’s Hammer revealed as life-size replica you can build [News]

Today LEGO revealed the latest Marvel Infinity Saga set, 76209 Thor’s Hammer. The life-size model of Mjolnir is 18-inches tall, made of 979 pieces, and will retail for US $99.99 | CAN $129.99 | UK £104.99 when it’s available March 1. It will be sold through LEGO and Target. The hammer includes a small display stand with a printed tile, and the hammerhead is hollow and includes a cubby for storing the included Thor minifigure and minifigure-scale versions of the Infinity Gauntlet, Tesseract and Odin’s Fire.

Things are spiraling out of control for Spider-Man!

Lego_nuts has recreated this stunning scene from Spider-man: No Way Home. The world appears to spin as Spider-Man is chased by Dr Strange through a mirror dimension. The city has a great colour scheme, with hints of green and orange providing the city with a vibrant look. An interesting technique is featured on one of the buildings in the bottom left of the picture, where 1×1 plates have been used to represent window frames.

This upgraded Iron Man armor is ready for battle.

I recently reviewed LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 76206 Iron Man Figure and found it to be a fun, if slightly flawed, take on the ol’ Aluminum Avenger. Builder Nobu_Tary must have felt similarly, because they’ve taken a stab at giving the set an upgrade. Nobu’s approach gives the armor a thicker neck, reshapes the torso, and hides the visible hip joints beneath some inverted slopes. Plus Nobu has eliminated the need for many of the stickers on the set’s arms and legs by building out similar detail with appropriately colored tiles and slopes. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 76206 Iron Man Figure [Review]

The cinematic story of Tony Stark came to an end with the release of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. But, for the true icons of pop culture, the merch doesn’t stop just because the story has ended. Robert Downey, Jr.’s portrayal of Iron Man is joining the likes of Darth Vader and Optimus Prime as someone who lives on in the toy aisle long after they’ve passed away on screen. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 76206 Iron Man Figure is a 381 piece-set that releases from LEGO on January 1st for US $39.99 | CAN $49.99 | UK £34.99. But is it a worthy celebration of Iron Man as an icon of the toy aisle? Let’s find out.

This Spider-Man scene features some pretty massive spoilers…maybe.

The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home made it pretty clear that Sony and Marvel are looking to double-down on the multiverse-hopping success of Into the Spider-Verse. Thanks to a spell cast by Dr. Strange, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will be facing off against foes from previous Spider-Man film eras, including Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock from 2004’s Spider-Man 2. And if the villains from these different movies can show up in the MCU, you have to wonder, “Who else might be along for the ride?” It seems the worst kept secret in history is that this film will feature Tom Holland joined by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, each reprising their own version of the Web-slinger, for three times the wall-crawling action. Of course, that’s not confirmed. It might just be speculation. It could be that the internet rumor mill has gone haywire and is setting legions of Spider-Fans up for disappointment when Tom Holland is left to fight these villains all by his lonesome. If that’s the case, Ben Cossy has us covered with this delightful diorama that imagines what it might be like if all three Spider-Men went up against a Sinister Six composed of Electro, Mysterio, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, and Sandman.

I have to say, Kraven’s an interesting choice to round out the villain roster. He’s the one character in the line-up who hasn’t appeared in a live-action film as yet. Which doesn’t mean we won’t see him. But who would you cast?

LEGO Marvel Eternals 76145, 76154, 76155, and 76156 – All the Eternals movie sets in one big lump, just how you like ’em. [Review]

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been pretty tightly organized, but the past couple of years have seen a lot of shuffling when it comes to movie release schedules. Case in point: the Eternals. Originally slated for a November 2020 release, it was pushed back all the way to November of this year. That bump had an interesting effect on the film’s tie-in merchandise – LEGO was ready to release four sets, and already had them listed in their December 2020 catalog. Ultimately, those sets were never made available for sale, just sitting there as one of the bigger pre-release spoilers. That is, until now. Starting October 1st, we’ll be able to add the following to our shopping carts:

LEGO Marvel Eternals 76155: In Arishem’s Shadow – Not your typical space god. [Review]

Normally when LEGO and Marvel team up to offer sets related to an upcoming film, they go to great lengths to keep things under wraps until they can arrange for a big reveal. It’s just smart marketing. Unfortunately, the past couple of years haven’t been great for plans working out as intended.

Back in December of 2020, LEGO sent out a catalog showcasing four sets based around the upcoming Eternals movie…a movie that had been slated to be in cinemas in November of that year. But, thanks to Covid, that film was shelved until November of 2021. The sets were not released, never made it onto LEGO.com, and probably just sat in a warehouse somewhere…waiting. Until now. LEGO Marvel Eternals 76155: In Arishem’s Shadow will (finally) be available October 1st for
US $59.99 | CAN $79.99 | UK £59.99. Was it worth the wait? Come along as we take a close look at this Celestial offering.

LEGO Marvel Eternals 76156: Rise of the Domo – The triangle to end all triangles [Review]

Although we don’t know a lot about the plot of the upcoming Marvel Eternals movie, we do know a bit about some toy tie-ins. Back in December of 2020, four sets were revealed in the winter LEGO catalog, presumably due to the film’s original November 2020 release date. But Covid had other plans, and the Eternals movie was delayed until November of 2021. So LEGO held off on making the sets available for sale…until now, that is. LEGO Marvel Eternals 76156: Rise of the Domo will be available from the LEGO Shop Online starting October 1st for US $89.99 | CAN $119.99 | UK £89.99. This is the largest set in the wave, with 1040 pieces including six Eternals minifigures. Has this set been worth the extended wait? Everything you need for your Hall of Armor [Instructions]

All the best superheroes have a cool base of operations. The Batcave, the Fortress of Solitude, an aunt’s apartment in Queens. But the best (or at least the poshest) superhero base has got to be Tony Stark’s seaside estate, and the Hall of Armor contained within. And it’s no wonder so many LEGO builders are working up custom versions of Stark’s Hall of Armor. What better way to put those multiple armor minifigures on display? But, to make a proper Hall of Armor, you need to surround Tony with all of his toys. Thankfully, KosBrick has come to the rescue with enough tutorials to fill a mansion in Malibu.

LEGO Marvel Eternals sets revealed [News]

Following the Marvel Studios’ Eternals final trailer, the first official product pictures of the upcoming LEGO Marvel sets appeared on Yahoo Entertainment. So far, four new sets have been shown, ranging between US $9.99 and $99.99. Although availability isn’t confirmed yet, at least we have the prices and piece count for each product.

This variant-based Loki variant is very antagonistic

There’s no doubt that one of the stand-out characters from Disney+’s hit show Loki was the adorable Lokigator, a reptile-based variant of the mischievous title character. Although he was only in one episode, Lokigator obviously struck a chord with builder Claudio Tavella, who drew inspiration from both the show and LEGO set 76190 to give us a Mech Lokigator. As a digital adaption of the Iron Monger set, this mean machine is loaded with tons of weaponry, as well a chest-based cockpit for any additional Lokis to pilot. He Who Remains might think he knows everything that’s going to happen, but I’d love to see how he handles this beast coming through the door of the Citadel at the End of Time.
