Mark Kelso posted the story of the beginning of one man’s journey into the darkness. The pictures which feature actual LEGO goes beyond those of ordanary LEGO photographs. The editing casts an ethereal effect to the grandiose scenes depicted, and the story is worthy of reading as well. Follow the mysterious young man as he is lulled by an unknown force into the darkness of a cave buried inside the jungle. For those who enjoy a thought-provoking work, this is a rare treat.

You cannot stop Goldman...
…you can only hope to contain him. The great master of the diorama Keith Goldman presents his newest work in response to Shannon Young‘s new game of MOCtag. It’s a romantic scene about a hot babe and a “genetically altered super-checken” called Rory. Why am I not surprised?
Their love is as boundless as the sea and Keith’s infinite supply of bricks.
Space Ninja battle continues
The fight between the white and black space ninja continues in Shannon Young‘s third diorama of the battle (you can see the previous ones here). This time, it takes place in a factory powerplant with dangerous cliffs. This large diorama measures 109 studs wide by 36 deep and rises 60 studs high, that’s planty of space for backflips, walljumps, and other sweet ninja moves.
Heading out to the backcountry
Alex Eylar‘s longing to escape the reality of “the worst college quarter yet” takes him to look towards Disneyland, where this creation took inspiration from the Grizzly River Run ride, depicting “a ridge somewhere in the northern California wilderness, complete with tumbling waterfall and quasi-hippie river guides.”
Sinking of the Yamato
Christophe Bongay presents a comical diorama of the last seconds of Yamato combining a few of his previous creations. There are many unique aspects of this creation ranging from the block shark to the disproportional ship, which was originally built as a Metal Slug vehicle.
Fabuland crosses black fantasy
Jordan Schwartz’s (SirNadroj) fascination with the Fabuland theme is spreading its presence to everywhere. His latest work encroaches upon two themes of my world: surrealism and black fantasy. The result is something dynamically hilarious in my opinion. Nice work Jordan, way to bring the Fabuland happiness plague to the dark realm of interdimensional and biomechanical despair :)
Bandwagon mayhem
Adrian Florea (Olog) mashed together some of the curretly hot bandwagon themes into an action-packed diorama. Without scrolling down to the answers, what themes do you recognize?
Answers: cave racers, black fantasy, frogspace, post apoc, and fabuland
Gattaca III starfighter landing
Jon Newsome has been a MOCpages user for quite a while now, and his most recent creation showcases the most updated version of his Gattaca starfighter in addition to a base diorama. Check out some of the cool details like the landing pad pattern and the pilot ladder.
Cheddar Gorge
Ever since SlyOwl‘s demonstration of a technique for straw roofs in his Nassau Port, we see the technique again in Cheddar Gorge. But in addition to the innocent looking scene, there’s some pretty crazy stuff going on inside. Please heed SlyOwl’s warning that vegetarians should look away.
Not exactly basic town
I seem to be at it again with the early posting but… this “work-in-progress” town by Brickshelf user `Basic’ (who I assume is from Lundfrom Nottingham, England) is simply amazing and needs posting now. I’ve got far too little time to go describing all the details I like but the illusory tram track stand out as worth of comment.
Dave Lartigue assaults the Necromancer’s Tower
When the dead rise from their graves to destroy the living, dark magic must be afoot (or it’s the solanum virus, but that’s a different story). Dave Lartigue illustrates one such incident in his “Assault on the Necromancer’s Tower” diorama. Here’s the tower:
The dead rise up!
Villagers fight back!
There’s lots more to see in Dave Lartigue’s photostream on Flickr.
