LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71033 The Muppets [Review]

When The Muppet Show debuted in 1976, it was an unconventional piece of television, to say the least. And it was also a near-instant hit. The weekly struggle of Kermit the Frog trying to put on a variety show with the help of a human guest star (and a plethora of bears, pigs, dogs, weirdos, and monsters) would go on to become the biggest TV program in the world. The show came to an end in 1981, with the Muppet gang arguably at the height of their popularity, and the Muppets would continue to delight audiences in TV specials and on movie screens for decades to come. Nowadays, new Muppet content is sparser than it used to be. But you can’t keep a good frog down. LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71033 The Muppets brings Kermit and 11 of his closest friends back together for a most sensational, inspirational, celebrational good time. These blind-bag figures will be available starting May 1, 2022, and will retail for US $4.99 | CAN $4.99 | UK £3.49

LEGO Star Wars 75341 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder revealed as next Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set [News]

Today LEGO is revealing the long-rumored Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) version of one of the most iconic vehicles from Star Wars with 75341 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder. This 1,890-piece set features a large-scale version of the X-34 landspeeder along with a stand, info placard, and minifigures of Luke and C-3PO. Luke appears to be the same version that’s been in a number of sets previously, such as 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. C-3PO is a new print that’s unique even from the one in this year’s 75339 Death Star Trash Compactor. The UCS Landspeeder will arrive just in time for the annual Star Wars holiday of May the Fourth, with the set available to LEGO VIP members starting May 1, and general availability a few days later on May 4. It will retail for US $199.99 | CAN $269.99 | UK £174.99.

LEGO Thor Love and Thunder 76207 Attack on New Asgard [Review]

This July, Thor Love and Thunder is bringing us two Thors for the price of one as Jane Foster returns with a godly upgrade to wield Mjolnir alongside our favorite Asgardian Avenger. Obviously, whenever a new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is on the horizon, the tie-in LEGO sets can’t be far behind. And LEGO is starting off with two Thor sets for a two Thor movie. We’ve already peeped a look at set 76208 The Goat Boat. Now it’s time to tackle the smaller set, LEGO 76207 Attack on New Asgard. Is this a worthy companion to The Goat Boat? Or, like Thor: The Dark World, is this a part of the franchise best forgotten? This 159-piece set will be available on April 26th from the LEGO Shop Online for US $19.99 | CAN $24.99 | UK £17.99 .

LEGO Thor Love and Thunder 76208 The Goat Boat [Review]

This July, with the release of Thor Love and Thunder, Thor becomes the first individual in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe to get a fourth feature-length film with his name in the title. But just because the Avengers aren’t around, it doesn’t mean Thor is flying solo. His longtime love interest Jane Foster will return to wield Mjolnir herself. At their side will be fan-favorite Korg and the king of New Asgard, Valkyrie. And they’ll all be up against Gorr the God Butcher who, I assume, will be looking to butcher himself some gods. That’s bad news for our favorite Asgardians. The good news is that Taika Waititi is back in the director’s chair, and it’s a safe bet he’ll be bringing the same blend of action and whimsy that he delivered in Thor Ragnarok. Who else would make a movie with as bizarre a tie-in set as LEGO 76208 The Goat Boat? But bizarre might be just what the doctor ordered after countless MCU tie-in sets featuring mostly SHIELD vehicles and spaceships. This 564-piece set will be available on April 26th from the LEGO Shop Online for US $49.99 | CAN $64.99 | UK £44.99.

LEGO Muppet Collectible Minifigures revealed [News]

The long-awaited and actively discussed Muppets Collectible Minifigure series is finally unveiled online on LEGO’s official social feeds. Consisting of 12 characters, the series will hit shelves on May 1.

Faux plants serve a purpose, but in general they just collect dust. Don’t get me wrong, they can look cool, but there’s not a lot to them. LEGO made a really good call when they decided to create a new collection of sets featuring popular plants. The latest two were just announced and they look wonderful! LEGO Botanical Collection 10311 Orchid – beauty comes in many shapes [Review]

Someone at LEGO headquarters must have been having an awesome day when they dreamed up the idea to start a line of sets that features fan-favorite plants. Absolutely brilliant in so many ways! Since its creation, the Botanical Collection has been an epic hit, and the latest wave are sure to be crowd-pleasers! Join us as we take a look at the first of two new additions: LEGO Botanical Collection 10311 Orchid. This lovely build stands at 15 inches tall and contains 608 pieces. LEGO reveals next two Botanical Collection sets: 10309 Succulents and 10311 Orchid [News]

LEGO’s series of life-size recreations of plants and flowers has proven tremendously popular since their launch at the start of 2021 with the Flower Bouquet and Bonsai Tree, and now the company is expanding it even more with two new sets. The 608-piece 10311 Orchid (US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £44.99) brings a new flower to the series; much like last year’s 10289 Bird of Paradise it features the full plant in a pot, rather than just flower cuttings. Meanwhile, the 771-piece 10309 Succulents (US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £44.99) takes the series in a new direction with a variety of small colorful plants in pots that can be rearranged. LEGO is pitching the sets as Mother’s Day gifts, so both sets are available to pre-order starting today, and are slated to launch May 1.
