LEGO Trolls: World Tour full set lineup revealed [News]

Today, LEGO took the wraps off the upcoming sets for the Trolls: World Tour movie, revealing seven tie-in sets. The film, starring Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake, is slated to arrive April 17, 2020, but the LEGO sets will come much sooner with a release date of January (which likely means they will actually drop Dec. 26, like most of the other January-wave sets). The sets feature a solid dose of new elements to create all the zany Trolls, along with other new introductions like musical notes and new hot air balloon panels. We got a brief look at the LEGO Trolls minifigures last month, but now we can see the full sets. The line appears to include one 4+ (formerly known as Juniors) set, with the rest being traditional sets. LEGO provided some set images to Yahoo Entertainment (because apparently this is still 2005), while also revealing lifestyle images of each set on Instagram.

LEGO Ninjago 2020 lineup features new vehicles, mechs and arcade pods [News]

Today we’re getting a look at the upcoming LEGO Ninjago 2020 lineup, thanks to retailer Meinspielzeug. These are slated to be available in the starting December 26th, and prices are listed in Euros. The new season features new speeder vehicles, a couple of mechs, a marketplace and a temple. Plus there’s a new form of Arcade Pod featuring minifigures Kai, Lloyd and Jay with a load of additional weaponry encased in a pod-like structure that resembles an old-school arcade cabinet.

LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F8 Tributo and 1985 Audi Sport Quattro S1 revealed [News]

Two new Speed Champions supercars were revealed today by Motor1.com & Caranddriver.com. Featuring the Ferrari F8 Turbo (76895) and the 1985 Audi Sport Quattro S1 (76897), they add to the lineup that from Lamborghini and Jaguar dual sets showcased recently. All-new Speed Champions now feature the new 8-stud design language bringing more detailing and larger piece counts.

LEGO Creator 2020 wave features monster trucks, a dragon and a toy store [News]

LEGO’s early 2020 wave of sets is slowly taking shape with new Technic sets and the City theme focusing on the police again. In addition, we are also getting our first look at the LEGO Creator sets on their way. This wave features a toy shop, dragon, some cool vehicles and a monster burger truck.

The sets were revealed by retailer Mein Spielzeug, and though we do not know their exact release date, we assume they will be released around January.

LEGO Star Wars 75250 Pasaana Speeder Chase from The Rise of Skywalker [Review]

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters in almost exactly a month, but Star Wars fans have been treated to scenes from the movie in several teasers and trailers over the past year, including a speeder chase scene featuring our Resistance heroes aboard a vehicle that look like the post-apocalyptic offspring of the desert skiffs in Return of the Jedi and Enfys Nest’s Cloud Rider swoop-bikes from Solo. 75250 Pasaana Speeder Chase is the smallest LEGO Star Wars set released so far to support the upcoming movie, at 373 pieces with three minifigs and one droid.

The set was released at the beginning of October so is available now ($39.99 US | $49.99 CAN | £44.99 UK | currently 20% off from both Amazon.com and Target).

LEGO City 2020 lineup reveals 8 new sets for Police and Fire [News]

Today we’re getting our first look at the City 2020 lineup, starting with eight new sets from the emergency services divisions of Police and Fire, thanks to various retailers. With six new Police sets and two Fire sets, LEGO City will certainly be active next year. The lineup even includes real flying helicopters thanks to a ripcord launcher system similar to those used on other themes like Ninjago. Each of the sets will be officially available starting Dec. 26, 2019, and while we don’t have full USD prices yet, we can confirm approximate euro prices.

LEGO and the BBC reveal Technic 42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car [News]

Today at the LA Auto Show, LEGO revealed a brand new Technic set co-designed with the BBC’s Top Gear team, 42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car. The set was teased back in September when the partnership between LEGO and BBC’s Top Gear motoring show was first announced. The model depicts a GT Rally car that can be remote controlled through the LEGO Technic CONTROL+ app which will enable driving challenges and other achievements (similar to the App-Controlled Batmobile we reviewed last year).

42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car comes with 463 pieces including one large motor, one XL motor and a Bluetooth-controlled smart hub. The set will be available starting December 26 and will retail for US $129.00 | UK £124,99.

More images revealed for LEGO Speed Champions 76899 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO & Urus ST-X [News]

Late last month, the latest Speed Champions LEGO set in collaboration with Lamborghini was revealed at the Super Trofeo World Final on stage in Jerez, Spain. The images of 76899 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO & Urus ST-X shared at that time were photos from the stage and several media shots. Now, we’re getting a better look at the final box art and studio product images from LEGO.

This set comes with a total of 663 parts for the build of both vehicles and is adorned with stickers to pull off the final accurate detailing of the cars. Like the Jaguar Formula E and I-PACE LEGO set revealed last month, both cars conform to the new 8-stud-wide design language.

The 6 new LEGO Hidden Side sets for 2020 include a haunted lighthouse and fairgrounds [News]

Today, LEGO has taken the wraps off the January wave of sets for its augmented reality theme introduced earlier this year, Hidden Side. Each brick-built set pairs with the Hidden Side app to create a game about finding and catching ghosts to save the fictional town of Newbury. The new wave of six sets features more locations around the town such as a fairground, portal, and even a subway station, each with a spooky twist. There’s even an ominously named “Lighthouse of Darkness.” The new sets will be available immediately after Christmas, beginning Dec. 27.

Part counts and US prices are yet to be revealed, but you can check out the rest of the set information below, along with the official press release outlining a study on the effects of physical versus digital play in children.

LEGO Star Wars 75254 AT-ST Raider from The Mandalorian [No-Spoiler Review]

The Disney+ exclusive TV show The Mandalorian just debuted, so we’re taking a look at the single LEGO Star Wars set released to support the show so far. Although the TV show didn’t debut until November 12th, 75254 AT-ST Raider was released alongside the first wave of LEGO Star Wars sets from The Rise of Skywalker at the beginning of October. The set includes 540 pieces with four minifigures and retails for $49.99 US | $69.99 CAN | £49.99 UK (it’s also available at 20% off from Amazon.com right now as well).

This latest AT-ST is one in a long line of “chicken walkers” that LEGO has released, following up on the 75153 AT-ST Walker from Rogue One released in 2016. Of course, that doesn’t count the utterly awful half-walker pawned off on LEGO Star Wars fans in the form of 75201 First Order AT-ST (arguably the worst LEGO Star Wars set ever).

Note about spoilers: Unlike the abominable First Order AT-ST released well in advance of The Last Jedi, this LEGO Star Wars AT-ST does not reveal any spoilers about the TV show. Out of respect for readers who have not yet seen the show (or can’t due to regional release differences), this review of the set will also avoid spoilers. We ask that commenters respect each other and do the same.

Just two months to Bricks LA 2020 [News]

Southern California’s premier LEGO convention, Bricks LA, is just two months away. Running January 10-12, LEGO fans will gather at the Pasadena Convention Center to showcase more than 19,000 square feet of cool creations. Registration for adult fans to attend all three days is $70, which includes participation in games, prizes and more, and you have until Nov. 29 to get registered to secure customized brick badges and other special perks.

Public tickets on Saturday and Sunday are only $5, with kids under 5 free, and are available online.
