This is what we’re all about. We scour the web for the best custom LEGO models to share with you. From castles and spaceships to planes, trains, and automobiles, you’ll find the best LEGO creations from builders all over the world right here on The Brothers Brick.

Mega-micro mecha crane – and it’s green!

The recent spate of unarmed mecha is a result of the Mecha Hub Civilian Mecha Contest on Flickr. Kyle Vrieze (bermudafreze) has built a pair of my favorites.

Micro mecha aren’t that unusual, but placing the mecha on a microscale background is fairly unique:

This submersible mecha has realistic, utilitarian arms:

Piotr catches some air

In his latest LEGO creation, Piotr Ślęzak depicts an exciting ride! That bike is really nice and the posing of the rider is top-notch. Nice job!

Joris lives in a LEGO house and plays Pokemon on his Nintendo DS

Joris Blok (joris.blok) recreated his house in The Netherlands. I’ve seen some nice brickwork, but Joris’s LEGO brick wall is outstanding.

While we’re at it, here are some of Joris’s very cool LEGO Pokemon, Oddish and Magnemite.

Oh, what the heck — here’s Joris’s Nintendo DS, too.

Fedde is ready for some Big Jobs

LEGO construction thingie

Fedde (Karf Oolhu) has been hard at work constructing massive construction vehicles capable of taking on the most massive of construction jobs. The one above uses tank treads on the tires and Technic air intakes for the claw on the arm.

Fedde’s earlier Utility Tractor is no less hunky:

Iron Cross battleship by rack911

Even though LEGO has released ship hulls in other colors, it’s unusual to see fan-made LEGO sailing ships that aren’t brown. Haung (rack911) combines red hulls with light gray to create a battleship evocative of warships of the early 20th century.

The round cannon doors, LEGO Castle minifigs, and the tall statue ahead of the ship also lend an air of fantasy to the scene. See more photos on MOCpages and Brickshelf.

BrickMania releases custom Panzer IV Ausf. G. LEGO tank kit [News]

LEGO Blacksmith ShopThe most frequent question we get from LEGO builders is How do I get blogged? But for all of you out there who read The Brothers Brick to see what we builders do, one of your most common questions is “Where can I buy that?” The answer is usually “You can’t.”

Daniel Siskind of BrickMania was one of the first LEGO fans to create and sell custom LEGO sets of his own design, way back in 1999 or 2000. After a five-year hiatus, Dan recently began producing new custom kits.

The Panzer IV Ausf. G. tank kit from World War II comes in Afrikakorps tan, with a unique BrickArms prototype MG42 machine gun.

Dan’s Panzer tank kit includes 690 pieces and sells for $99.95 with instructions on CD.

Star Cruiser Benevolence and Battleship Azuker by Steef de Prouw

Steef de Prouw recently joined MOCpages and posted this huge white spaceship, a large luxury cruiser called Benevolence.

The large white dishes on each side of the ship are apparently “used frequently to scan for missing passengers, who didn’t return from their shopping trips.” Ha! Excellent.

Thanks for the tip, David B!

UPDATE: Steef has just added an even cooler mega-ship, the USS Azuker (“LL-813 class battlecruiser”):

Halo Hornet shoots down enemy Banshees

Stephen Chao (obscurance) constructs an accurate model of the Hornet aircraft from Halo. As someone who enjoys the game, seeing one of these makes me want to take it to the skies and shoot down some enemy Banshees.

I Actually Really Do Like Cars.

I made an April Fools Day post saying that I was only going to blog cars, because they were the only creations I liked anymore. That wasn’t entirely a fabrication, as I really do like cars.

This red affair by Allister McClaren (Captain_Underpants), for instance, is quite nice. It looks like a cross between a race car from the 60s, like the Chaparral 2J and a modern supercar.

The TreeHugger 8000 caresses our arboreal friends

No less industrial (or lime) than a Power Miners vehicle, Aleksander Stein‘s TreeHugger 8000 looks ready to roar into a forest and cart off the raw materials for all those disposable chopsticks, paper napkins, and sticky notes in your house.

Now, doesn’t that make you happier that LEGO is made from hydrocarbons?

Aleksander has incorporated lots of nice details in this logging apparatus, including an excellent brick-built warning stripe on the crane, so don’t miss his TreeHugger 8000 photoset on Flickr.

LEGO Power Miners tractor by Tekka Croe

With a distinct, heavy industrial feel, this Power Miners tractor by Tekka Croe looks like it could crush boulders with its treads alone:
