The Great Wall is often cited as one of the wonders of the medieval world, at its peak stretching more than 5,500 miles across China. In LEGO form, 21041 Great Wall of China represents the oldest structure in the Architecture line and the first to include significant landscaping. It is also the first LEGO Architecture set designed to be modular, creatively constructed to connect multiple copies. The Great Wall includes 552 pieces and retails from LEGO for $49.99 USD. (EDIT: The set is currently on sale at Amazon.com for $39.99, making it easier to buy multiple copies.)
The Great Wall is a departure from the Architecture sets of modern buildings and significant landmarks we have come to know and love, though it feels at home with its dark green and tan styling as well as its black tiled base. While similar in size to the 21006 White House, the Great Wall is hefty and designed to be viewed from all directions. The set was released earlier this year, but with the holidays coming up, we wanted to take a closer look.

The largest set featuring an imposing mechanized Venom was revealed earlier this summer, but this is the first we’ve seen official photos of the rest of the wave, including lots of new minifigures.

Coming on the heels of the nineteen new sets based on The Lego Movie 2 revealed today, the full trailer for the film has now been released. We are getting a good look at the mess that Bricksburg has become in the five years since the first movie premiered, and it seems that the Duplo invaders have left the city in ruins, only to be invaded again by strange creatures from the Systar system. “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” opens nationwide on Friday, February 8, 2019.
The film’s voice talents feature the original cast including Chris Pratt as Emmet (and the new Rex Dangervest), Elizabeth Banks as Lucy (aka Wyldstyle), Will Arnett as Batman, Nick Offerman as Metal Beard, and Alison Brie as Unikitty. They are joined by Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz, and Arturo Castro as new characters Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, Sweet Mayhem and Ice Cream Cone.
We also have descriptions for two new characters seen in the trailer:
REX DANGERVEST
Rex is an ultra-cool, tough-guy hero, flying through space in his own over-the-top battle ship, the Rexcelsior, with his raptor crew. Rex is everything Emmet is not: confident, brash and experienced in the ways of the world. He claims to have invented the phrase “no regrets,” though his only regret is not trademarking it. Also the inventor of the deconstructionator punch, Rex is a Master Breaker.
QUEEN WATEVRA WA’NABI
As queen of the faraway Systar System, Whatevra Wa’Nabi is a strategic, shape-shifting ruler with a secret plan that could change the lives of Emmet, Lucy and all their friends. When things don’t go her way, she’s not averse to breaking into a catchy song and dance number to get her point across.

LEGO has unveiled a whopping nineteen sets from their upcoming sequel, The LEGO Movie 2, and The Brothers Brick has all the details on the new product line. The wave of sets will be available in stores starting on December 26, a month and a half ahead of the movie’s release to theaters.
At first glance, there are plenty of exciting minifigures, new elements, part colors, and even a classic space “battle pack.” Some of the sets have a combination of Friends minidolls, System minifigures and faux-Duplo characters all in the same box. It seems the LEGO designers (and the movie creators) had quite a bit of fun with these unique and playful sets, so let’s take a closer look. (Note: We have no clue if any of these sets contain spoilers, so consider yourself warned.)

The LEGO vault is opening again soon with the release of 10268 Creator Expert Vestas Wind Turbine on Black Friday. From the designer video included below, LEGO designer Carl Merriam shares some of the behind-the-scenes work that went into transforming the set from a limited exclusive released in 2008 to a product that will soon be available to everyone. Carl shows off some of the set’s stand out features (including the company’s new plant-based tree elements and a minifigure that looks surprisingly like himself) as well as the story of how he became a LEGO designer.
