LEGO Botanical Collection 10309 Succulents – faux plants that don’t suck [Review]

Faux plants serve a purpose, but in general they just collect dust. Don’t get me wrong, they can look cool, but there’s not a lot to them. LEGO made a really good call when they decided to create a new collection of sets featuring popular plants. The latest two were just announced and they look wonderful! Come along as we review LEGO Botanical Collection 10309 Succulents. This 771-piece set is available for online preorder from LEGO Shop @ Home now for US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £49.99. It will be widely available in store and from other retailers May 1st.

LEGO Botanical Collection 10311 Orchid – beauty comes in many shapes [Review]

Someone at LEGO headquarters must have been having an awesome day when they dreamed up the idea to start a line of sets that features fan-favorite plants. Absolutely brilliant in so many ways! Since its creation, the Botanical Collection has been an epic hit, and the latest wave are sure to be crowd-pleasers! Join us as we take a look at the first of two new additions: LEGO Botanical Collection 10311 Orchid. This lovely build stands at 15 inches tall and contains 608 pieces. It is currently available for online preorder at US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £49.99 and will be more widely available starting May 1st, just in time for Mother’s Day.

LEGO reveals next two Botanical Collection sets: 10309 Succulents and 10311 Orchid [News]

LEGO’s series of life-size recreations of plants and flowers has proven tremendously popular since their launch at the start of 2021 with the Flower Bouquet and Bonsai Tree, and now the company is expanding it even more with two new sets. The 608-piece 10311 Orchid (US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £44.99) brings a new flower to the series; much like last year’s 10289 Bird of Paradise it features the full plant in a pot, rather than just flower cuttings. Meanwhile, the 771-piece 10309 Succulents (US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £44.99) takes the series in a new direction with a variety of small colorful plants in pots that can be rearranged. LEGO is pitching the sets as Mother’s Day gifts, so both sets are available to pre-order starting today, and are slated to launch May 1.

LEGO Harry Potter Summer 2022 sets revealed, including 12 Grimmauld Place, Shrieking Shack and more [News]

Today LEGO has revealed six new Harry Potter sets today, publishing the listings on their website. The sets span the full breadth from the small, 121-piece 76400 Hogwarts Carriage and Thestrals up to the large 1,083-piece 76408 12 Grimmauld Place. That’s the first time 12 Grimmauld Place has been a LEGO set, and the Ministry of Magic also gets a first appearance. Of course, the sets include lots of new minifigure designs for old favorites, and there are even some brand new characters that have never been in minifigure form before, such as Albert Runcorn, Mafalda Hopkirk, and Reg & Mary Cattermole. Several of the sets continue the modular Hogwarts system that LEGO’s been developing for a number of years, with some of them beginning to revisit locations featured in previous modular Hogwarts sets, such as the Womping Willow. All six of the sets are slated to be available starting June 19.
