As an artist, I love a good graphic and bold logo. My close-enough namesake Gino Lohse has built a Jurassic Park logo in LEGO (say that ten times fast!) but with a twist. The dino (strangley not pronounced like Gino or Lino) is chasing down some people who are also in dark silhuette. I love the bold black against red; and the yellow outline is a fabulous touch. Gino makes this look simple but a round logo can’t be easy. One question though; is it wrong that I’m rooting for the T-Rex? While you’re mulling that over check out our Jurassic Park archives to see all the coolest dino-related sets and fan-made creations in the interwebs.

LEGO VIP Rewards 5007159: LEGO Logo Tin Sign – A sign of our disappointment [Review]
In June we shared a review of four VIP Tin Sign Rewards – each featuring an image based on a popular LEGO theme. Spoiler alert: we were not very impressed. But now LEGO has followed up with a sixth entry into the tin sign collection – LEGO VIP 5007159 LEGO Logo Tin Sign. Available one-per-VIP-account in the Rewards Center (US | CAN | UK), this tin can be yours for 1,200 points. (It has a listed retail value of $15 US) Need more details? Well, we ordered one, and you can take a closer look after the jump!
LEGO VIP 5007093 – 1950’s Logo Spinning Keychain – Better than a tin sign [Review]
We’ve seen some real ups and downs in the quality of “Collectible” VIP rewards from LEGO. Yet, for some reason, I keep spending my points on all of them. My latest acquisition is LEGO VIP 5007093 – 1950’s Logo Spinning Keychain. It’s available now for 950 points from the VIP rewards center (US | CAN | UK ). Keep reading for the details of this bit of bling!
LEGO logo leak
Don’t you just hate it when you paint a pixel-perfect mural of the LEGO logo and then a work crew drops a bucket of refined coal tar across it? Douglas Hughes created this humorous scene of a corner LEGO shop, a hardware store, and the aftermath of an industrial chemical spill. It is truly impressive how well Douglas was able to make the black tiles look so fluid. Eagle-eyed viewers will note lots of fun details sprinkled around, like the green Simpsons Squishee cup sitting on the ledge.
A spectacular avail of scale
When you view a LEGO model in person, you’re limited to seeing things as they appear to the naked eye. In the digital realm, especially when a healthy amount of photoshopping is involved, scale is just as ripe for manipulation and modification as anything else. With Koen‘s latest build, it’s obvious that this point is understood fully.
From the castle on the left to the massive flag in the middle, the final product here is just as much the finished photo as it is the builds on their own. That’s neat.
It’s worth noting that this creation was made for the LEGO Ideas logo contest that we wrote about recently. While it’s hard to say if LEGO Ideas would be open to adopting such a maximalist logo, this is certainly a stellar build.
Let for force-tivities begin!
Apparently May the 4th is Star Wars day! And if you don’t get why by now, then you must have been living on Hoth for the past five years. Anyway, Tyler Clites (Legohaulic) gets us into the spirit with this version of the iconic logo – which he serendipitously built using the seed part from the Iron Builder contest currently in progress.
