Fan builds incredible 35,000 piece LEGO Bioshock diorama celebrating all 3 games [Video]
Imagine Rigney has been combining his love of LEGO and retro-scifi video game Bioshock for years. The Brothers Brick first covered his impressive entrance to the underwater city of Rapture in 2011, and in 2014 Imagine’s breathtaking Bank of the Prophet from Bioshock Infinite amazed us with its stunningly huge songbird perched above the floating city.
Well, we weren’t the only ones who noticed Imagine’s incredible talent — Bioshock developers 2K Games have also been keenly following his brick-built fan art. Recently, 2K contacted Imagine and asked him to build a brick version of the cover art for their remastered edition of the Bioshock games, Bioshock: The Collection. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Imagine set to work, and has turned out this jaw-dropping collage of Bioshock imagery.
The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures Feel Guide [Review]
A few days ago, we brought you our hands-on review of The LEGO Batman Movie 71017 Collectible Minifigures. These 20 unique figures are due to release Jan. 1 for $3.99 each, but a few lucky fans are already starting to find them on store shelves. Like other Collectible Minifigures, the Batman Movie minifigs are packed in sealed bags so you don’t know which characters you’re buying — unless, that is, you use your dexterous digits to determine the contents by feel.
And that’s exactly what we’ve been doing. We’ve stayed up late working our fingers numb sorting a whole case of blind packs, so our Feel Guide is based on actual experience finding and verifying figures. Not every piece is easy to determine by feel alone, and some pieces are easily confused with others, so use this guide to help you find a complete set of 20 figures, or to get extras of your favorite character.
The LEGO Batman Movie 71017 Collectible Minifigures are available now on Amazon and on the LEGO Shop Online.
Pentatonix’ Christmas classic “Up on the Housetop” is a VR-enabled LEGO movie [Video]
Famous a capella group Pentatonix gets LEGO-ified in their new music video for the Christmas classic “Up on the Housetop.” The video uses YouTube’s new 360° functionality, meaning you can pan around in the video to see in every direction. While the graphic fidelity won’t be winning any awards, being able to see what’s “behind” the camera is pretty cool even without VR, and will look even better if you have Google Cardboard or another VR device.
The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures 71017 [Review]
The LEGO Batman Movie, due out Feb. 10, is making waves in the DC universe as it dusts off villains old and new, and gives the Batman himself a plethora of new costumes. And there’s no better way to get your hands on a whole load of those new characters in minifigure form than with The LEGO Batman Movie 71017 Collectible Minifigures. The 20 unique figures will hit store shelves Jan. 1 for $3.99 each.
[Update] The LEGO Batman Movie 71017 Collectible Minifigures are available now on the LEGO Shop Online.

French artist Mat Green is back with more giant metal minifigure sculptures, and they’re jaw-dropping [Interview]
In June, French artist Mat Green amazed us with a pair of life-size LEGO minifigures made of steel. Those figures, named Hugo and Pablo, were a classic minifigure and a punk rock LEGO skeleton. Mat has now finished his next project — more classics you’ll surely recognize, the pirate Sparrow and his parrot Jacquot. We spoke with Mat about his work translating these iconic LEGO figures to life-size metal sculptures.

LEGO Batman Movie 70911 The Penguin Arctic Roller [Review]
We don’t yet know how good The LEGO Batman Movie will be when it hits theaters Feb. 10, 2017, but if we can judge by the sets and trailers, it will definitely be a memorable take on the dark knight and his many nemeses. The sets based on the film are awash in villains both famous and obscure, including most of the mainstays of Gotham lore. The Penguin is one such iconic villain who hasn’t seen much screen time in recent years; in fact, the Penguin hasn’t made a big-screen appearance since 1992’s Batman Returns. Ever the dapper madman however, the Gentleman of Crime is back in The LEGO Batman Movie with a posh cruiser befitting his illicit opulence.
70911 The Penguin Arctic Roller contains 305 pieces and 2 minifigures. It will be available Jan. 1, 2017. We don’t yet have word on the price, but expect around $30 USD.
