Eero Okkonen showcases his excellence in LEGO character building once again with his build of the goddess Palutena of the Kid Icarus and Super Smash Bros series. Eero first constructed Palutena back in 2015 but his new version is quite a beautiful improvement on a great build. The flow to her green hair and variety of gold embellishments are eye-catching.
Microscale architecture builder Rocco Buttliere has achieved a remarkable feat of LEGO engineering with his 40,000+ piece model of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California. Like the actual suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, Rocco’s beautiful and highly detailed LEGO rendition crosses its 6 foot long central span suspended by a combination of red string, Technic bushings, LEGO flexible hoses, and non-LEGO metal wire.
Rocco’s LEGO model even includes the buildings and landscaping of the Presidio in Golden Gate Park.

Bryce Dempsey expands his arsenal of LEGO gaming weaponry with the Zeus X27 taser featured in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Accuracy to the in-game model in the various thicknesses throughout the body of the stun gun make Bryce’s replica stunning. Watch the builder discuss his replica taser and demonstrate the working trigger and simple firing function in this video.

Though it probably wouldn’t go down smoothly, jsnyder002‘s LEGO burger and fries looks quite delicious, despite going a bit overboard with the ketchup. Contrasting textures of each ingredient, as well as two different colors for the tomato and ketchup, make this one of the best LEGO burgers I’ve seen. The use of green window shutters as lettuce is quite clever as well.
Clever techniques are abundant in David Rajcok’s lifelike LEGO models of a hair dryer, brush, and comb. Use of metallic wheels on the hair dryer, a net piece to hold the brush bristles and move them realistically, and the teeth spacing on the comb all make David’s builds look real at first glance.
Builder Didier Burtin shows that your LEGO bricks causing great foot pain was their devious plan the whole time, with his brick-built interpretation of the meme. Didier’s build is my favorite of all the physically built versions I’ve seen, especially with the shape of the foot in the diagram.
Tread carefully. These bricks are most painful when you least expect them.
Tracer has become my hero of choice when playing in Overwatch competitive play on offense. Her movement abilities suit my play style of unpredictable movement—giving me a chance to compensate for my poor aim. So my latest LEGO build is of Tracer’s primary ability, her dual rapid-fire Pulse Pistols. Constructed from 1,063 LEGO parts each (2,126 total parts for the pair), the pistols feature moving triggers, a working “reload” mechanism in which the side disks expand outward, and light-up elements powered by BrickStuff LEDs.
The most challenging part of the build was the reload mechanism. The same mechanics as in MyDifferentUsername’s KRM-262 Shotgun were used, but the mechanism had to be reduced from 4-studs wide to 3, so the disks on either side would maintain the overall 5-stud-wide model.

Nick Trotta’s series of detailed and unusually shaped starfighters continues with a vertical fighter named Volkite. The verticality combined with excellent color blocking and smooth transitions between sections of the craft make an eye-catching model.
On his YouTube, Nick shows a couple videos about Volkite. The video below shows how each chunk of the starfighter fits together (about 18 minutes long). It is a fascinating watch as you can see how the smooth transitions between components are achieved.
The original shades of gray used in LEGO sets were phased out in the mid-2000s in favor of bluish grays, making the choice of elements in the original grays limited. However, this limitation can lead to creative uses of those parts, such as in this NATO “Devil” Main Battle Tank built by Carter Baldwin. The angled armor plating on the turret stands out as my favorite detail here, but the whole build has a great flow to it.
Grantmasters’ Alien and Predator LEGO figures are excellent on their own, but why not show them off in an epic battle? Well, this isn’t the battle I expected to see. Which classic film creature can out-shred the other and has the best lines to skate?
Switching it up from the Titans of Titanfall, Marius Herrmann presents another massive gaming mech, the Thunderjaw from Horizon: Zero Dawn. His deceptively large model is quite accurate to his reference material – from the armor plating, to the back-mounted disc launchers, and even the arrays of eyes. Even the pose of his mechanical creature is as menacing as its in-game counterpart.

Speedyhead recreated the destruction of Princess Leia’s home planet of Alderaan, a classic Star Wars scene, with LEGO. The lighting effect on the laser and forced perspective planet is stunning. The detailed Imperial architecture shouldn’t be overlooked though; the texture of the window and separation of floor panels are on point.
