With Halo 4 on the horizon, Nick Jensen is gearing up for battle with his latest life-sized LEGO Halo weapon: the BR85HB SR Battle Rifle. I’m pretty sure Nick has made just about all the UNSC weapons out of Lego by now. What’s next, the Rocket Launcher or Spartan Laser?

Hylian Shield: +5 to Awesomeness
Fans of the Legend of Zelda will immediately recognize the Hylian Shield, a must have when crossing through the Goron Mines. Remi Gagne (Bolt of Blue) has masterfully recreated the Twilight Princess version. The shield emblems are spot on and brilliantly executed.
3 a.m. Mecha
So often it is the large models that get featured here on The Brothers Brick, but there are often small creations that are equally as epic. Case in point, Andrew Lee’s (onosendai2600) mini Metal Storm mecha. We had previously featured Cole Blaq’s much larger version, and it is pretty fantastic to see how well Andrew captured the same shapes, colours, and details at such a miniscule scale.
Now go get some sleep Andrew :)
Lego Pokemon Scizor
Mike Nieves (retinence) have made several Pokemon creations with his elegant Bionicle/System style. His most recent build of Scizor is one of my favorites. Whoever commissioned it is one lucky customer.
Ah, nostalgia!!! Tomy Turnin’ Turbo Dashboard in LEGO
Let us take a trip back to the early 80’s…to play with one of lil’ Tromas’ favourite toys…a Tomy Turnin’ Turbo Dashboard. Many an hour were spent zigzaging in and out of traffic and zooming down the highway.
When I saw tkh’s microscale mini representation all the happy memories came back :D
All the features are perfectly captured…and at this scale, that is quite the feat!
LEGO Architecture Forerunner Spire from Halo (no, not really)
The LEGO Halo group over on Flickr is hosting a contest that challenges LEGO builders to design their own sets to counter the fact that one of LEGO’s competitors has the Halo license.
Théo (Titolian) joins the fray with this fake LEGO Architecture set. It’s an interesting little structure, wonderfully presented and immediately recognizable.
(And please, dear readers, do not suggest — as several on Flickr already have — that this would be a great LEGO CUUSOO project. Ain’t gonna happen…)
LEGO Lord of the Rings video game trailer & gameplay footage
In case you’d missed it, TT Games will be releasing its latest LEGO video game, LEGO Lord of the Rings, in October 2012.
Here’s the latest trailer.
And here’s the original teaser trailer.

Finally, here’s a lengthy interview over actual gameplay footage.

To be 100% honest, as much as I love what our friends over at TT Games do, the last few LEGO video games I’ve played have all seemed a bit alike. There’s a limit to the amount of entertainment I can get from appreciating the wonderful in-game models created by Carl Greatrix and the other talented model builders before the familiar gameplay itself takes center stage.
But the combination of LEGO, The Lord of the Rings, actual voice acting, and (possibly) some different gameplay mechanics all has me pretty excited.

Halo 4 M363 Sticky Detonator
Halo 4 is coming out this fall, and Nick Jensen is taking no breaks in the expansion of his life-sized Halo arsenal. Here is his brick-built version of the Sticky Detonator along with working features.

Life-size Warhammer 40K Bolt Pistol
We’ve featured many of Jarek‘s Warhammer 40K creations in the past, but this is a first. Instead of scale models of vehicles or troops from the games, he’s built a life-sized gun from the game. He’s built in several cool play features, though not launching a projectile, which you can see in his youtube video, below.
Masked Arsonist Gets Bricked
Matt De Lanoy’s latest mosaic shows off the infamous flamethrower from Team Fortress 2 and his delightfully insane Pyrovision, where he lives in a world quite his own.
