DC Super Heroes San Diego Comic-Con 2018 LEGO Exclusive revealed [News]

The first San Diego Comic-Con 2018 LEGO Exclusive — 75512 Millennium Falcon Cockpit — was just revealed yesterday. The new day brings us the next SDCC 2018 set — 75996 DC Super Heroes Aquaman and Storm, and a closer look at yesterday’s reveal. A first-look at DC‘s iconic Aquaman and Storm from their original animated TV appearances in the ’60s as a collectible LEGO building set, which will be exclusively sold at San Diego Comic-Con.

Looking at the elements, fans would rejoice as it seems that there appear to be no unique parts to build in these on your own. Both Minifigures in the Star Wars set come from the recent Kessel Run Millennium Falcon (75212). What is unique is the vertically oriented box that’s designed like a comic book cover featuring line art instead of photorealistic scene. Collectors of boxed sets would certainly want to have this in their collection simply for the uniqueness of that old-school look. The third and final set will be revealed soon.

Hulkbuster mod that does it right!

Before you mistake this for 76105 Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition, it’s not! It’s a modified version of it by the famous Singaporean Mecha builder Kelvin Low, who’s better known in the fan-builder circles as Chubbybots. Hardcore Mecha fans like Kelvin will never be satisfied with stock builds which sometimes may have limitations because of the way parts are used. The only right thing to do is fix it! I think with the mods he’s made, it turned out well much better than what LEGO did!

As one of the worlds largest toys manufacturers, the LEGO Company won’t miss the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con convention to present the new 2018 Super Heroes sets. Even though the convention starts next week, official pictures of the LEGO Super Heroes sets are already available online. The three new medium-sized sets will feature some of our favorite heroes, like Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as characters that have never been released as LEGO minifigures before. Sets will range from $19.99 to $39.99, which is definitely good news considering all the awesome minifigures.

The ends always justify the means

Love him or hate him, Lex Luther is a pretty cool bad guy! Kale Frost has captured Superman’s archenemy in his famous Warsuit. With its huge Popeye-like forearms and big solid stomping boots, he is intent on ridding the earth of the alien Superman. Kale has taken the color scheme (and a printed tile) from the LEGO Juniors set Batman & Superman vs Lex Luther and created the souped-up custom Lex Mech. I love how he has blended Bionicle parts with System to create this suit of awesome power. Superman better watch his back!

Come in and grab a cupcake... while the city is about to be destroyed

LEGO Super Heroes sets have some of our most favorite minifigures of all times. And, of course, superheroes need epic surroundings for their epic brawls. But the buildings we get in official sets sometimes are not as big and detailed as we would like them to be. Gzu Bricks takes matters into his hands and upgrades the 76038 Attack on Avengers Tower set in the most adorable way — by adding some friendship! The cheery 41119 Cupcake Café set takes up residence right below Tony Stark’s apartment, and now fighting over the last blueberry muffin is the only acceptable reason to start a war.

Batman versus Superman in a friendly game of Chess

Who will win is anyone’s guess as these delightful poseable figures go brick head to brick head. Featuring fantastic custom LEGO minifig capes, these custom BrickHeadz designed by Kale Frost are simply brilliant! The scene pits two of DC’s most popular superheroes against each other in a friendly game, as these characters battle it out across the table. Judging by the pieces left on the Chess board, it looks like Superman is losing pieces faster than a speeding bullet.
