LEGO reveals 21353 The Botanical Garden as the next LEGO Ideas set [News]

Veering away from large-scale flowers for a minute, LEGO has just unveiled the next set in the Ideas line: LEGO Ideas 21353 The Botanical Garden, based on the original Ideas submission by Valentina Bima. With 3,792 pieces, this massive set features a removable roof, 12 included LEGO minifigures, and sections covering flowers, trees, cacti, mushrooms, and other plants. The Botanical Garden goes on sale for LEGO insiders beginning on November 1st, with access to everyone opening up on the 4th, retailing for US $329.99 | CAN $429.99 | UK £289.99. And during the first week of availability, the set will come with the gift-with-purchase 5009005 LEGO Botanicals Entrance Gate GWP for all Insiders adding it to their cart (GWP images not available at time of writing).

LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion revealed [News]

This November LEGO invites you to build the next step in human evolution with  LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion. Also known as Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, the X-Mansion is one of the most iconic sites in the Marvel universe, featured most recently in the X-Men ’97 animated series. The set features familiar details like the Danger Room, Cerebro, and a buildable Sentinel robot. The X-Mansion includes 10 minigures, with Professor X, Gambit, Iceman, and Bishop, making their LEGO debut. If purchased during the first week of release, Insiders also receive LEGO Marvel Cerebro, a companion display piece.  Available November 1 to Insiders and November 4 to all, 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion contains 3093 pieces and retails for US $329.99 | CAN $429.99 | UK £289.99.

LEGO unveils 2024’s Winter Village Collection set as LEGO Icons 10339 Santa’s Post Office [News]

LEGO continues to expand its beloved Winter Village Collection with two exciting new additions this year: LEGO Icons 10339 Santa’s Post Office and LEGO 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck. The sets are comprised of 1440 pieces and 224 pieces, respectively, depicting Santa and his elves hard at work delivering letters via truck and hot air balloon to the North Pole. Fans can look forward to adding these festive pieces to their holiday scenes starting October 1 for Insiders (Oct 4th for everyone else), alongside LEGO Icons 10325 Alpine Lodge and LEGO Icons 10308 Holiday Main Street from years past.

LEGO Star Wars 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge announced as next UCS set [News]

For the second time this year, LEGO store shelves will see a massive new set in the Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series line. In this 25th year of the theme, October will bring LEGO Star Wars 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge UCS, complete with 11 minifigures which include Jabba, Bib Fortuna, Princess Leia, Salacious Crumb, and Max Rebo. The land barge has a fully detailed interior for recreating all those great scenes from Return of the Jedi, and sits at over 30 inches long (77 cm). If ordered within the first week of availability, the set also comes with LEGO Star Wars 40730 Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber GWP, a recreation of the Jedi’s laser sword from RotJ. Available starting on October 3rd for LEGO Insiders (October 6th for everyone else) and clocking in at 3,942 pieces, 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge UCS will retail for US $499.99 | CAN $649.99 | UK £429.99. The LEGO Group and Amazon MGM Studios Unveil new ‘Wednesday’ sets [NEWS]

The LEGO Group, in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios Consumer Products, has officially announced a new product line inspired by the hit Netflix series, Wednesday. The collection includes the Wednesday Addams Figure, Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room, and BrickHeadz: Wednesday & Enid, all designed to bring the eerie and whimsical world of Wednesday and Nevermore Academy to fans. Pre-orders for two of the three sets begin today, while the remaining BrickHeadz set will be available starting October 1 – just in time to kick off a month filled with tricks, treats, and all things creepy.

New September 2024 LEGO sets now available – Advent Calendars, Great Deku Tree, & more [News]

LEGO is kicking off the first week of September with some exciting treats for fans of their licensed content. Get ready for a September filled with LEGO fun, featuring LEGO Ideas 21351 Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 Set, and 76437 The Burrow – Collector’s Edition. An anticipated line of minifigures from the Dungeons & Dragons theme will also be released this month, making a great addition to the LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, released earlier this year. LEGO announces a pair of holiday botanicals coming to the Icons line, now available for pre-order [News]

The holidays seem to come earlier every year. And with LEGO announcing new Christmas sets before the end of August, it’s certainly feeling that way once again. But these aren’t the typical holiday-themed offerings from the brickmaker of note. These two new LEGO Icons sets are a part of the Botanical Collection. First up we have LEGO Icons 10370 Poinsettia, with 608 pieces and tons of sharp angles. And there’s also LEGO Icons 10340 Wreath – a more “adult” take than the past offering of set LEGO 40426. The verdant yuletide toroid is made up of 1,194 pieces, and features interchangeable accents in red, white, or blue. Both sets are available for preorder starting today, with global release on October 1. LEGO Icons 10340 Wreath retails for US $99.99 | CAN $129.99 | UK £89.99, and LEGO Icons 10370 Poinsettia is going for US $49.99 | CAN $64.99 | UK £44.99. Summer is in full swing for the northern hemisphere, and LEGO fans are discovering a massive wave of new sets releasing on the LEGO website today. The Ultimate Car Concept Series gets another addition with LEGO Technic 42172 McLaren P1 [News]

Debuting today on the LEGO website, we see the next Technic supersized supercar headed to a display case near you. And at 3,893 pieces, LEGO Technic 42172 McLaren P1 will be the largest one yet. The model clocks in at nearly two feet long (59 cm) and sports a bright orange livery, distinguishing it from the darker orange of the 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS from 2016. Its physical features include a 7-speed gearbox, V8 engine, functioning suspension, and dihedral-opening doors. But the 1/8th scale set also promises some unique content unlocked via its serial number. You’ll be able to get your hands on one via the LEGO website starting on August 1st, and the set retails for a hefty US $449.99 | CAN $589.99 | UK £389.99. You may also be able to track down the set through Amazon and eBay.

LEGO and Universal reveal the next set in the LEGO Ideas line: 21350 JAWS [News]

LEGO has partnered with Universal to release a diorama based on the classic 1975 summer thriller, Jaws. Who hasn’t gotten in the ocean, pool, or even the bath tub and uttered the sounds, “Da-Dum . . Da-Dum . . Da-Dum”? Now you will have the ability to do it with a brick-built version of the subsurface behemoth that terrorized the town of Amity Island in 1975 with LEGO Ideas 21350 JAWS. Comprised of The Orca, Bruce the shark, and minifigure versions of Martin Brody, Matt Hooper and Sam Quint, the 1497-piece set will be available for US $149.99 | CAN $TBD | UK £129.99 starting August 6th. But LEGO Insiders get to dive in early with access starting August 3rd.

While the LEGO release calendar can get a little muddy over the summer months with some sets available in Europe with others waiting until later, there’s a pair of wonderful LEGO Icons sets that just hit store shelves in the US and Canada that are worth taking for a spin. To get immediate early access to LEGO Icons 10337 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole and LEGO Icons 10338 Bumblebee in North America, you’ll need to be a LEGO Insider.
