Daniel Z takes his castle evolution project and turns it into a full-scale action-blown battle scene for the Battles Contest on Classic Castle. With that I think there’s no need to fight now, the battle is over!

Bring on the Waterworks
Chase Lewis (Vid’) has posted his largest LEGO diorama to date, featuring a band of survivors holding out against a well-armed apoca-boat.
Check out the full photoset on Flickr.
Clean up on sector 13
Keith Goldman presents a scene of waste disposal in a decaying sector of his Iron Reich realm. The color texturing creates an impressive rusting effect and I approve of the dump of parts – both mechanical and of the charred flesh. Dive into this degenerating world and don’t let its awesomeness dissolve your mind.
Kasteel in Nederland
We don’t normally blog works in progress, but this massive LEGO Castle diorama by Johan “Teddy” van den Heuvel (Johanvande) is too epic to pass up.
Teddy has described his LEGO Castle as “a typical Dutch castle,” but it’s anything but ordinary. From the angled walls to the beautiful cross-shaped windows, I can’t wait to see what Teddy has planned for the final version.
Storming Normandy in a miniature Landing Craft
The Landing Craft the Allies used to storm the beaches of Normandy were definitely not this adorable.
Nevertheless, this tiny diorama by Nick D.M. (DarthNick) includes plenty of action. The splash of cannon and the *piff* of machine gun fire on the sand are excellent touches.
Tower Rock by Darkspawn
Aaron Andrews (Darkspawn) has returned to building a massive castle creation after an almost yearlong respite. This tower sits on one of the most massive floating rocks I’ve seen, inhabited by a group of magical figures. One of my favorite details is the dragon transport; I could only dream of riding one of those.

Kelvin’s Hotel
I woke up this morning to this lovely hotel by Kris Kelvin. Its a beautiful scene and I really like those cars!
They be sleeping with the fishes
Brickshelf user B-idea crafts an artistic diorama depicting the forced perspective sinking of a pirate ship. The foreground features the dynamic action of the sinking ship in minifig scale while the background floats a micro-scale rendition of an imperial flagship.
Birdwatching with SlyOwl
SlyOwl has created several new species of LEGO birds and showcased them in this little scene:
The waterfowl being observed by the birdwatchers range from tall and gangly to short and adorably squat.
No less awesome is this great LEGO Pirates scene, titled “Tribal Sacrifice”:
The pirates’ boat sunk into the sand and water is a brilliant detail.
Château de Caprèshèr
Not all good LEGO Castle landscaping has to be tall (for lack of a better word), as JD Luse demonstrates with a detailed landscape built on a baseplate:
The narrow trees add variety, while an Orient Expedition hat serves as a bird’s nest on the large tree.
Rack911’s Sunset Castle reposes in glorious ruin
This gorgeous ruined castle by Haung showed up on Brickshelf‘s “Recent” page a couple days ago, so even though he posted it to MOCpages back in January, it’s definitely worth a blog now.
A colossal statue stands guard over the entrance to a fully detailed interior:
See more pictures in Haung’s MOCpages or Brickshelf gallery.
Sebastian Arts’ Reality Dysfunction will eat your city
Run and hide your Cafe Corner, Market Street and Green Grocer! This creepy creation built by Sebastian “Aliencat” Arts will consume all!
Side note: haha, take that Nannan, I finally blogged a Black Fantasy creation before you!
