With 5,500 pieces, 10284 Camp Nou FC Barcelona is newest LEGO Creator Expert football stadium [News]

An alternate tribute to automotive history

It’s probably fair to say that Firas Abu-Jaber is an expert at building realistic models of iconic cars. The attention to detail and scale in his designs helps him realize some truly life-like designs. On top of that, he’s fond of making these insane replicas as alternates to LEGO Creator Expert sets like the Ford Mustang and the Fiat 500. I mean, this replica of a Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattro Valvole is amazingly detailed for being an alternate of the LEGO Creator Expert 10295 Porsche 911 and it isn’t even the first alternate build he’s done of that set! Let’s take a closer look at what Firas is able to do with a parts limit.

TBB cover photo for April 2021: The Sports Car of the Century

If you’ve seen gull-wing doors that open skyward, then you’ve seen the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Coupé from 1955. Tobias Munzert created a LEGO Creator Expert-scale replica of the most beautiful car in the world using mostly parts from the official 10262 Aston Martin DB5 set. In addition to the silver colour scheme, he captured the curves of this car in precise detail, down to the slight curve of the front intake. Tobias also included basic functions that all display models need: opening trunk and hood, and the opening gull-wing doors.

LEGO Creator Expert 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery launches with Hubble Telescope [Review]

LEGO Space Shuttles are a mainstay of the brand’s space themes, with the company having produced well more than a dozen models across a variety of scales, themes, and degrees of accuracy. But there’s something about the iconic design of NASA’s black-and-white reusable space plane that captures our imaginations and keeps drawing us back. The latest set from LEGO is the largest and most detailed yet. 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery has 2,354 pieces and includes both the Discovery orbiter and the Hubble Space Telescope that Discovery launched on the STS-31 mission in April 1990 (the same year as LEGO’s first Space Shuttle set, 1682 Space Shuttle Launch). LEGO is also celebrating 2021 being the 40th anniversary of the first shuttle flight. The new shuttle set is part of the Creator Expert lineup and will be available starting April 1, retailing for US $199.99 | CAN $269.99 | UK £169.99. Today we’re going to dive in with a full, hands-on review of this massive spaceplane.
