LEGO unveils the new Expert vehicle set: 10290 Pickup Truck [News]

Today LEGO unveils the new addition to the LEGO Expert cars, 10290 Pickup Truck. The new truck is a 1677-piece set, which makes it a bit bigger than the previous 10295 Porsche 911 Turbo. However, the new set comes with the price of US $129.99 | CAN $169.99, which is $20 less in the US than the Porsche. The pickup truck has functional steering, a detailed interior, and a bunch of accessories for a perfect display. The set is currently available for pre-order and will ship in October.

Despite the car’s dark red color, the design of the box features sand green elements in the bottom, just like the color of the recently released LEGO Ideas 21327 Typewriter.

Inspired by some of the most classic US vehicles of the 1950s, the new truck model comes with the cargo bed full of seasonal accessories: a wheelbarrow with flowers and a watering can for spring, wooden crates for summer, and even a holiday wreath for winter.

Both the interior and the exterior of the pickup truck have a ton of details and even some possibilities for customization.

The set is currently available for pre-order for US $129.99 | CAN $169.99 and will ship on October 1.

Another set that uses the Porsche 911 rear fenders, which I originally thought were too specialized to appear elsewhere, but are on the new typewriter as well.

    Very nice set.

Hmm, looks as if it’s a big car without a brand license, this time.

The seasonal accessories look very cute, anyway.

Interesting to see an unlicensed large creator vehicle. IMO as long as it is unlicensed, they should have worked on the styling a bit more. It’s a bit ungainly, but not in the lovable way that real 40’s-50’s pickups are.
