BrickHeadz debuted in 2016 as a new way for LEGO fans to build and display their fandom and creativity. As of 2024, LEGO has released over 250 BrickHeadz characters, sold either individually or in groups. While most BrickHeadz are based on characters from pop culture, like Marvel comics, Disney films, or Lord of the Rings, LEGO also releases BrickHeadz tied to holidays, as well as a kit to make a BrickHeadz character of yourself! As all BrickHeadz share a common size and style, creating your own can be a fun way to share your love for a favorite character.

Beware the gaze of BrickHeadz Medusa

In Greek mythology, Medusa is a slithering monster with a stone-cold gaze. The tables have now turned for the Greek gorgon, with Koen Zwanenburg having transformed her into a static LEGO BrickHeadz character. Though often portrayed as a hideous monster, Koen’s version is adorable. The sculpting of the body is particularly nice, with the tail from Jabba the Hutt being used to great effect. Her hair is comprised of several snake head elements, which look practically made for the character. It would be great to see other mythological creatures receive a BrickHeadz treatment this nice!

With the current amount of seasonal LEGO sets, it’s absolutely impossible not to add a LEGO model to your holiday home decorations. And when the trendy BrickHeadz figures meet the holidays, some of the sweetest and most adorable sets are born. LEGO BrickHeadz 40274 Mr. & Mrs. Claus is the fifth seasonal BrickHeadz set, and the only double-pack of the sub-theme. The set consists of 341 pieces, which makes it the third largest LEGO BrickHeadz set so far. A BrickHead who Fell to Earth

Last Sunday, the most famous British science-fiction TV-show Doctor Who has opened its 11th season, featuring dazzling Jodie Whittaker, the first woman ever to play the role of the Doctor. There are so many reasons to immediately fall for Whittaker’s version of the character, including her thick accent, her acting filled with child-like wonder, and, of course, her instantly iconic look.

| Nouvilas ⟩ loses no time and designs a lovely BrickHeadz version of the character. The coat made with thin tiles looks really great while the stripped pattern on the shirt is spot on as well.

Life’s a treat with Shaun the sheep

Recently we featured Palixa and the Bricks’ brilliant BrickHeadz renditions of the cast of Futurama. This time around they’ve turned their hand to the Aardman Animations’ classic Shaun the Sheep.

Futurama BrickHeadz: whoop, whoop, whoop!

Mixing Matt Groening’s unique animation style with the BrickHeadz formula was always going to be a winning formula. Husband and wife team Palixa and the Bricks have certainly seen the potential, hitting LEGO gold with their sequence of Futurama’s supporting cast.

Dr Zoidberg is a joy, demonstrating how simple piece selection can make a model — modified clip plates doubling as mouth tentacles…

Zapp Brannigan is another standout — the slicked hair and ingot belt buckle effortlessly capturing his character…

Teenage Mutant Ninja BrickHeadz

Four years have passed since LEGO last produced sets based on the Ninja Turtles TV series. If BrickHeadz had existed back in 2014, we would have likely seen sets featuring blocky versions of the turtles. Fortunately, Charles P has filled the void with seven charming BrickHeadz versions of characters from the classic franchise. All four of the turtles are here, complete with their appropriate weapons. Raphael’s tilted eyes perfectly capture his “rude” attitude from the original TV show’s opening song. Master Splinter, Shredder and even Krang have also received the BrickHeadz treatment, and they look just as whimsical and fun. Speaking of fun, I think singing the show’s opening song is the best way to introduce Charles’ models.

LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz: 41627 Luke Skywalker and Yoda, 41628 Princess Leia, and 41629 Boba Fett [Review]

Back in late 2017, before LEGO released any BrickHeadz characters from the Star Wars Classic Trilogy, we reviewed the New York Comic-Con exclusive Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite. I excoriated LEGO for creating artificial scarcity in what would inevitably be an incredibly popular set. That set is now selling for at least $200 on eBay, but there’s good news: LEGO has now released another wave of Star Wars BrickHeadz characters, this time including Boba Fett (41629), Princess Leia (41628), and Luke Skywalker & Yoda (41627).

Your guide to the 12 new LEGO sets for October 2018, including Star Wars, BrickHeadz and more [News]

Fall has arrived, and along with it a small wave of twelve new LEGO sets. Star Wars gets the prime treatment with some holiday flair for good measure. This wave is smaller than the 58 new sets from late summer we posted about before, but we have your guide right here to each and every new set as we head into the pre-holiday season.

Along with the new sets, LEGO has a gift with purchase for Star Wars fans: an exclusive Han Solo Mudtrooper minifigure. To get him, you have to spend more than $35 on LEGO Star Wars sets. The promotion runs through the 14th or while supplies last.

LEGO Christmas Holiday BrickHeadz revealed as 40274 Mr. and Mrs. Claus; 40272 Halloween Witch now available [News]

Today LEGO has unveiled a special pair of Christmas holiday BrickHeadz, 40274 Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The cheery duo are dressed in red and surrounded by holiday decorations, including presents and a Christmas Tree for good ol’ Santa, and fresh-baked cookies and a wreath for Mrs. Claus. The set is a two-pack, and it will be available Oct. 1 for $19.99 USD. The set has 341 pieces.

The Christmas set follows the special autumn holiday sets of 40272 Halloween Witch, available today, and 40273 Thanksgiving Turkey, available beginning Oct. 1.

LEGO unveils 41631 Newt Scamander and Gellert Grindelwald BrickHeadz from Fantastic Beasts [News]

LEGO just unveiled two new characters to add on to the BrickHeadz family from the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Newt Scamander and Gellert Grindelwald, numbered 76 and 77 respectively, are featured in a two-pack set of 247 pieces and retail price of $19.99 USD. These are the first two characters to be featured from the Fantastic Beasts theme and will be released for sale on October 1.

LEGO Frozen BrickHeadz 41617: Elsa and 41618: Anna and Olaf [Review]

Disney’s Frozen joins the growing ranks of pop-culture BrickHeadz now available from LEGO. 41617 Elsa is available by herself, along with 41618 Anna and Olaf, who come in a buddy pack. Elsa comes with 130 pieces, and retails for $9.99, while her sister Anna and her childhood friend Olaf come with 201 pieces, and retail for $14.99. They are numbered 52, 53 and 54 in the BrickHeadz series and both sets are available now.
