Watch the first teaser trailer for Brick MADNESS [Video]

Back in 2012, filmmaker Justin McAleece used Bricks by the Bay as a background to film scenes for his independent film Brick Madness. Five years later, the director has shared the first official teaser trailer for the mockumentary, which is scheduled to premiere publically in September.

One of the really cool real-life aspects of the movie is that Carl Merriam designed many of the models used by the actors in the movie back during filming, and now Carl works full-time as a set designer in Billund.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Trailer #2 arrives [News]

A few days ago as I was reviewing The LEGO Ninjago Movie Collectible Minifigures, I mused about what Lloyd’s mother ever saw in Garmadon. Well, I didn’t have long to wait for the answer, as revealed in this new trailer. We also catch a quick glimpse of Ninjago’s biggest enemy yet—and it’s probably not what you expect. The LEGO Ninjago Movie arrives September 22, and will be accompanied by a full line of sets, including one of the largest LEGO sets ever, 70620 Ninjago City.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Collectible Minifigures 71019 [Review]

Just as LEGO did with The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie, there’s a wave of collectible minifigures dedicated to the characters in September’s The LEGO Ninjago Movie. Revealed only a last month, 71019 The LEGO Ninjago Movie Collectible Minifigures will be hitting stores August 1 ahead of the movie, and feature 20 characters who, nicely enough, are not all ninjas. But much like the world of Ninjago itself, these characters, who range from a sushi chef to a teen pop fan, abide in a stereotyping mashup of all things Asian. The figures will retail for $3.99 each, and are concealed in blind packs just like previous series.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes 2018 to be presented at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 [News]

As one of the worlds largest toys manufacturers, the LEGO Company won’t miss the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con convention to present the new 2018 Super Heroes sets. Even though the convention starts next week, official pictures of the LEGO Super Heroes sets are already available online. The three new medium-sized sets will feature some of our favorite heroes, like Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as characters that have never been released as LEGO minifigures before. Sets will range from $19.99 to $39.99, which is definitely good news considering all the awesome minifigures.

LEGO Ninjago 70623 Destiny’s Shadow [Review]

The LEGO Ninjago Movie and the new 2017 Ninjago sets that will accompany the film are set to release this September. To tide ourselves over until then, let’s take a look at Set 70623: Destiny’s Shadow which was released earlier this year.

70623 Destiny's Shadow

The set retails for $29.99 and has 360 pieces. Considering the $0.10 per piece pricing many LEGO fans have come to expect, Destiny’s Shadow actually comes in below the expected price range. Additionally, the set currently has a 4.8 out of 5 stars review on Amazon (courtesy of five, yes five, total reviewers who either bought the set for their son or their grandson). Not bad!

LEGO Creator Expert 10258 London Bus is the latest addition to your London-themed LEGO collection [News]

Since the introduction of 10253 Big Ben, 10214 Tower Bridge and some LEGO Architecture sets, the LEGO Company seems to be on a mission to LEGO-ify London. Today, they’re adding more to the batch with a model of another hallmark of the British capital with the 10258 London Bus. This 1686 piece set will be an awesome addition to the LEGO Creator vehicle lineup as well, taking its place right next to another British icon, the 10242 Mini Cooper. The iconic red double-decker bus is an impressive copy of an AEC Routemaster, which first appeared on London streets in 1956 and ran till late 2005, becoming one of the world’s best-known public transportation vehicles.
