The Arvo Brothers present their latest LEGO vehicle, a Ford GT Le Mans.
It’s always hard to find only one thing to like about an Arvo creation, so beyond the obvious shapeliness of the car as a whole, I hereby pick the funky orange spiky bits in the wheels.

Dan Siskind of BrickMania has just announced that his next custom kit is available for pre-order — the M4A3(76)W VVSS Sherman Tank.
I’d never bought any custom LEGO kits from somebody else, but I bought two of Dan’s kits a few months ago.
I couldn’t have been more pleased. They’re well-designed, interesting to build (well, except maybe the tank treads, heh heh), and a lot of fun to see how another LEGO builder solves interior structure problems you’d never see in a photo.
Though the printed instructions for the two kits I ordered were $10 more expensive, I found them harder to read than the electronic version on a CD.
If you’re reading this, you probably have a computer, so I recommend taking the cheaper, more legible route.

This six axle crane, by M Longer, is more than ready for the task. All that orange is pretty sweet too.
I think we could blog pretty much everything Stefan (-2×4-) has posted so far. Following his mini Battlestar Galactica fighters, Stefan’s microscale Star Trek fleet includes a nice variety of ships from Star Trek: First Contact in a variety of sizes, ranging from the minuscule USS Defiant to the Enterprise-E.
Naturally, resistance is futile, as this large Borg Cube demonstrates.
Jon Hall (jonhall18) recently built this fantastic speeder.
It incorporates a lot of great angles, without looking like it’s a bunch of sections being forced together. Instead, it really appears as though the hull came from a factory in one piece. It also features just enough greebles inside of the fins to look good, without going overboard. The sticker use is also impeccable.
In 1963, The LEGO Group spun off a company called Modulex to create planning tools for architects, including a completely separate system of bricks. Though Modulex still operates today (still based in Billund, making modular corporate signage), they no longer manufacture little plastic bricks.
Nevertheless, Modulex bricks continue to be sought-after collectors’ items among LEGO fans. Some fans even have enough in their collection to reproduce contemporary LEGO sets, as Marion has done with her collection.
The limited palette of bricks in the Modulex system doesn’t stop Brixe from an excellent recreation of 10182 Café Corner and 10190 Market Street.
Even though Brixe’s Modulex version is nearly a stud-for-stud clone of the LEGO set, this comparison shot shows the difference in scale between the two systems (LEGO on the left, Modulex on the right):
