Love, Death & Robots seems to be making waves on Netflix via word-of-mouth recommendations. It’s a series of animated anthology short clips targeted at adults, and this character is featured in Episode 2, which simply titled Three Robots. It’s pretty cool to see the various LEGO elements that builder Lu Sim used for a change of expressions just like on the show.
The two things that stood out first in this build by XBrickmonster were the imperfect walls and the intricate windows made of LEGO elements ranging from claws and minfigure hands to tails and even Technic pins. That aside, the scene itself is a grand mystery waiting to be solved by our two detectives. While I leave the hard part to the experienced folks, I’m still trying to solve how that yellow frog got up there on the beams of the roof.
This build by Justin M Winn reminds me of a future that may be me, not far away. I’ve always imagined that once I get old and retired, the one thing that I could imagine myself doing is reading–lots and lots of it to keep the grey matter going. This wise-looking, matured gentleman seems like he’s dozing off in the middle of a sunny day–it must be the hearty lunch he just had. What makes this LEGO build stand out is the great use of contrasting colors and textures that approximate a very cozy abode.
Benny would not only be thrilled but ecstatic and going bonkers with this upgrade of the Classic Space 928 Galaxy Explorer. Builder Alec Hole did such a great job and so jaw-dropping of an upgrade that it almost looks like it could have come out of a scene in a sci-fi movie. The detailing and greebling in key spots paired with minimal stud exposure give it a very sleek look. Measuring in at almost a meter in length, this is one sweet spaceship that I wish I had in my collection.

Calling all Marvel fans! The US market will finally be able to obtain the cancelled Toys R Us Bricktober exclusive that was available internationally last year. The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Minifigure Pack (5005256) is available as a gift with purchase from the LEGO Shop Online and LEGO retail stores with purchases of at least $75. The limited edition minifigure collection will be available through 11:59 pm EST on March 10th or whenever supplies run out.
The Marvel minifigure pack features characters from the Avengers: Infinity War movie and includes War Machine, Doctor Strange’s companion Wong (in minifigure form for the first time), Tony Stark in his nanobot tracksuit, and Bucky Barnes, AKA The Winter Soldier.

Lam Siu Wing is an artist and writer based in Hong Kong who has a keen interest in urban landscape, transport, and culture, which inspires him to always have a wandering eye during his travels. During one of his return trips on an A350 from Tel Aviv to Hong Kong in the summer of 2017, he had a sudden inspiration to build an aircraft made from LEGO. What resulted was a beautiful LEGO model of the Airbus A350 with a wingspan of more than 5 feet.
Siu Wing’s research started with a thought to upgrade the official LEGO Boeing 787 set 10177, but he quickly found that there wasn’t sufficient design information on the real airplane’s interiors. That’s when he decided to instead focus on the Airbus A350. Of course, living in Hong Kong would mean that Cathay Pacific airlines was the obvious choice of an airline carrier. In addition to all the new LEGO sets revealed at the 2019 New York Toy Fair, the upcoming line-up of LEGO-themed gear and merchandise was also unveiled. Both LEGO and their official merchandising partner Santoki had a spread of new items from books to backpacks, with a significant concentration on LEGO Star Wars-themed products that will be released later this year.

LEGO made waves this year by taking back to Billund a total of four out of 19 Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards presented at the 2019 New York Toy Fair. This is the highest number of awards that LEGO has won in a single year since the awards’ inception, celebrating four sets that no doubt represent the high level of talent that went into making them.
The Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards (also known as the “Oscars” of the toy industry) are presented annually to the top toys, games, and properties of the year. Administered by The Toy Association, the awards program supports the philanthropic work of The Toy Foundation, which delivers new toys to children in need.

Live from the show floor at the 2019 New York Toy Fair, we have new close-up images of the upcoming Toy Story 4 sets for the newly branded 4+ (formerly “Juniors”) age group. The sets include carnival rides, an RV adventure, and characters new and old. The movie is slated to be released in June so we can be sure to see these on shelves by then. The sets are based on a new animated mini-series called LEGO Jurassic World – Legend of Isla Nublar which is a prequel series to the first Jurassic World live action film.
