Builder Nick V (Brickthing) is heating up his Iron Builder competition with Andrew Lee with this fantastic creation. The Pixar short that originated this little guy was hilarious (and directed by LEGO fan Angus MacLane). This LEGO rendition looks quite worthy of source material. Build on guys!
Pixar seems to be trending lately, and this adorable duo by legorobo:waka of Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc. is just too awesome to not show you.
Continuing with our Pixar theme for today, here’s a great model by Joshua Morris (I Scream Clone) of the the dentist’s fishtank in Finding Nemo. Sharkbait Ooh-ha-ha!
It’s always great for adult fan builders to show their awesome creations to the public, and one of the more regular ways the public is exposed to fan builds is through the community windows at official LEGO stores. For her local community window, Melanie F. built this delightful rendition of the house from Pixar’s beloved Up, in partnership with fellow fans CleverLittleMinx and ROOK.
Blake Baer has build us a very nice model of the fish tank and the gang from the Pixar movie Finding Nemo. This creation was build for the yearly competition over at MOCpages called MocOlympics. There are too many fantastic entries this month into LUGNut‘s Cars, Too theme, so I do believe I’m just going to list my favorites here, in no particular order. We are, after all, big fans of all things Pixar here at this humble blog.

Though The Brothers Brick couldn’t make it to New York this year for Toy Fair, our friends over at FBTB attended both the press event and the full show, to bring everyone great pictures of new and upcoming LEGO sets.
A few quick highlights…
LEGO Star Wars returns to Episode I: The Phantom Menace with a number of new sets that refresh designs from 10 or more years ago, including podracers and Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator.
LEGO expands its Disney/Pixar line with a System-scale Cars theme.
I’m personally most intrigued by the new Alien Conquest theme, which, if it’s anything like Agents or NinjaGo, has serious potential to be rather awesome. (Xenophobic blah blah blah. I’ll apologize on behalf of humanity when the little green men show up at my front door.)

Matt De Lanoy (Pepa Quin) built Andy’s room in minifig scale – Toy Story minifig scale, that is. This magnificent build is a full 30″x30″. Scaled to real world sizes, that makes Andy’s room 16’x16′. That’s a pretty decently sized room!
It’s the details that make this build particularly impressive – and deceptive. Thankfully, Matt’s photographed some of the best parts of the room so we can get a good, up-close look at the details. Check the photos out, along with a toy’s eye view video, below the jump!
When Okay Yaramanoglu used Lego Toy Story minifigs to create Star Wars characters, the result is both startling and hilarious. See if you can identify who is who in this photo. You can find the answers in Okay’s Flickr photostream.
Joel Baker constructed a sculpture of the scene from Toy Story where Sid pulls out Woody and Buzz at the claw crane. Say, if there were no glass, would you still have to pay and use the claw? Check out more views on Joel’s Flickr set.
This giant Buzz goes to infinity and beyond.
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Actually this giant Buzz, by Johnny Tang is very well done. The articulation, the sand-green highlights, the square-jawed chin. The green army men are just icing on the cake. Woody doesn’t stand a chance against this space toy!
Edit: I posted this earlier and missed the fact that much of the sand-green and lime green is MegaBloks. There may be other MegaBloks that I have missed as well. What is your opinion of creations that use clone brands? Personally, I feel the accomplishment is cheapened. What are your thoughts?
