Waterdeep

This whimsical castle is built by Ivan Angeli. As he says it is the last in the line of Drow Elves castles from the world of AD&D. It took him 10.000 bricks only to build the huge waterfall, and the castle itself is over a meter high, which is easily seen in this comparison image. Jump to Eurobricks to see all the images and story behind this creation.

Teahouse

Gabriel Thompson (qi_tah) is really building amazing stuff these days. Here is another one of his creations – oriental Teahouse. I admire classic asian architecture, and just love the colors and details on this one.

Finding Nemo

Blake Baer has build us a very nice model of the fish tank and the gang from the Pixar movie Finding Nemo. This creation was build for the yearly competition over at MOCpages called MocOlympics. Join the group over at MOCpages and enjoy all the nice creations there will surely be built for this occasion.

Windy City

Dark-Alamez has built us a Chicago street section. Two of the buildings are based on real ones, while the third one is out of his imagination. It took me just a glance at the thumbnail to recognize the city this creation represents. Aside from beautiful buildings my favorite is the Chicago Loop railway segment.

Pirates Ahoy!

Franko Komljenovic finally posted images of his long work in progress. He says that it’s still not done, so we can expect some more interior images. The hull looks pretty finished to me though, and I especially like the stern made of arches and the tilted windows on captain’s cabin.

Vulcan Hall

Hello to all again. It’s been a while since my last post – I’ve enjoyed my vacation without much internet. Now I’m back to work and back to blogging. Here’s a beautiful castle building by ZCerberus. He built this for the Albion Community Build for the Guilds of Historica. Enjoy it on Flickr.

Dumbledore’s office

I am always happy to see beautiful Harry Potter creations once in a while. Despite all the sets, it seams to me that there aren’t much of HP creations these days. This Dumbeldore’s oval office build by Robuko was a real treat. I love the frame built using technic threads, bookcases and the walls. Check out the floor in this another set-up of the same creation.

Megastore

Alex Jones (Orion Pax) builds another excellent commission. This time it is for German Snipes Megastore opening in Cologne. You can take a look at all of the images on his website.

Elemental Attack on Avalonia

ZCerberus sure knows how to build a nice castle village scene. The elemental monster is also a cool creation by itself. But, what really caught my attention on this MOC is the ingenious use of Power Functions on the scene. Both the moving tentacles and the leaning tower are what makes this creation really great.

Watch the video on YouTube.

Bricking the Future

Buildingxyz (Michel Labelle) built his vision of the future home from LEGO. This is mid 21st century family house in California. I really like the house design and how Michel also equipped the whole interior with futuristic furniture.

Victorian III and Victorian IIIB

Here are two similar creations built by Softa Rae. Original one is a few years old, while IIIB is just completed. It was build as a commission for some very lucky girl – it will be used as her doll house! Doll and the dogs are the only 3 non-LEGO elements in this build – all other 17.000 are pure LEGO. III and IIIB have some differences, the main one being the color – while III uses sand blue, IIIB is medium blue. Here you can see older one next to her other model, Victorian V.

Both models feature a full playable interior – house opens up for you to play. If you still haven’t seen her work, be sure to check out all of her houses, new and old on MOCpages, or her website.

Dawn Rock Castle

When something this marvelous and huge pops up on the internet, there isn’t much to say. Just lay back in your chair and enjoy the pictures. What I like the most about this castle built by LegoLord isn’t just the size, but the fortified and massive feel it gives. It looks like it serves its purpose well – defense. I would feel safe inside this one.
