Here is one that I missed. TKH did a superb job of capturing the saucy awesomeness that is Jessie.
Thanks to The Living Brick for catching this.

Pixar’s Toy Story 3 will be out in movie theaters in a few weeks, but the LEGO Toy Story 3 are available now from the LEGO Shop online.
7597 Western Train Chase includes Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, Bullseye the horse, Rex the T-Rex, and Hamm the piggy bank.
Some of the Toy Story sets look like pretty good LEGO City sets, including a pizza truck and a garbage truck:
All five LEGO Toy Story 3 sets are available on LEGO.com.
Pixar movies seem to be a serious favorite here, and for me, UP is no exception. Peter Aoun’s latest little vignette brings the same sense of wonder, of far off places, of strange birds…and Doug.
The weekly LEGO news roundups we started to do proved to be too time-consuming, but this past month has been a busy one, and you may have missed a few things. Without further ado, in case you missed it…
See what I mean? A busy month indeed.
In our interview with Angus MacLane back in 2008, we asked him why none of the toys in the previous two installments of the Toy Story series were LEGO. Read the interview to find out, but that gap has been corrected in Toy Story 3.
They’re a bit hard to spot in this screen cap by Bill Toenjes, so check out the photo on Flickr for notes and the full-size version. Watch the complete trailer for more LEGO, as well as a notable appearance by Totoro.
In related LEGO + Pixar news, this year’s giveaway Toy Fair premiums from LEGO included a CubeDude Buzz Lightyear signed and numbered by Angus himself (via FBTB’s complete Toy Fair 2010 coverage):
Now I’m mad that LEGO didn’t send The Brothers Brick an invite to this year’s Toy Fair. Hey LEGO, what gives? I demand my CubeDude Buzz Lightyear!
Finally, Toy Story director (Toy Story 3 executive producer) John Lasseter received the LEGO treatment at Toy Fair with this great bust built by Erik Varszegi (via Gizmodo):
Once again stealing the New York Toy Fair’s thunder, the first publicly available photos (read: not stolen or leaked) of late 2010 LEGO sets come from the Canadian Toy & Hobby Fair, via CTV tech reporter Kris Abel.
Of particular note for LEGO Castle fans is the new Kingdoms theme.
Check out Kris’ main post for links to each of his theme-specific posts, including:
It looks like Angus MacLane is at it again. This time, he’s built Luigi from the Pixar film Cars. This LEGO rendition is just as funny and cute as the original.
I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise when someone who works at Pixar builds something from their movies. What continues to be impressive is how great Angus’s models end up being.
UPDATE: High-res photos of LEGO Atlantis sets are now out.

Alexander (Shurik) posted pictures of some of the 2010 sets that LEGO has displayed at a sponsored event in Russia called Festival Rossiyskogo Fan Forum Lego. The featured sets include samples from the following themes: Atlantis, Toy Story, Prince of Persia, Star Wars, Power Miners, City, Bionicle and more.
EDIT (TG): These pictures were uploaded due to a miscommunication and have been removed from Flickr at the request of TLG. The local Ambassador, Igor Makarov, asked me to remove the deeplink which I have done.
UPDATE: Target.com also has box art for one of the 2010 LEGO Power Miners sets, 8188 Fire Blaster:
Pictures from ComicCon have been showing up all day and there is some great stuff on the horizon for LEGO fans! Joe Meno has been getting some great shots. Thanel is running around there also and has promised more pictures tomorrow.
Prince of Persia Figs:
Camel and Ostrich:
Woody and Buzz:
Army Men!
Angus MacLane has created an incredibly accurate LEGO version of one of the main characters from Pixar’s latest feature film, “Up“. From the bulbous nose and jutting jaw, to his green-footed cane and bowtie, this is perfect! Of course, what else do we expect from Angus?
For more about Angus and Pixar check out our interview, as well as his interview in the current issue of BrickJournal. BrickJournal also has instructions for a LEGO BURN-E that Angus designed for the crew of the movie. Those of you paying attention to the credits during BURN-E will have noticed that Angus directed this wonderful short feature.
“Up” opens in theaters on May 29th….don’t forget!
Classic Space LEGO designer Bjarne Tveskov (tveskov.com) has posted a wonderful little iMac G4 “Junior”:
Naturally, the pairing is reminiscent of Pixar’s “Luxo, Jr.”
The screen is a real photo/video display, which allows Bjarne to mirror what’s on his real Mac — pretty darn cool! Getting the weight in the base and construction of the arm right are LEGO engineering challenges of their own.
See more photos of Bjarne’s LEGO iMac G4 Junior on his blog or on Flickr.
