Peter (lego911) has busted out the faux-chrome and clear cheese to present the beautiful Facel-Vega HK500 of Countess Aurelie Dominque. Wonderfully sleek.

Prettier than a dollhouse
Inspired by the houses of the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, SoftaRae constructed a very elaborate facade of the Victorian architecture that measures 15 inches wide and 2.5 feet tall.

LEGO Architecture Space Needle and Empire State Building [News]
UPDATE: The newest LEGO Architecture sets are Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Guggenheim Museum.
————
The two newest LEGO Architecture sets are now available from the LEGO Shop.
I’m particularly pleased to find the Seattle Space Needle available, since I see it everyday here in, well, Seattle!
The Empire State Building is another iconic landmark now available as a set:
Update: As the locals in the comments indicate, $20 for our beloved needle seems a bit steep, so Ochre Jelly suggests this one for 30 cents instead! :-D
The Arvo Brothers boot a Citroën DS
That last post deserves an Arvo chaser.
Not only do the Brothers Arvo create a Citroën DS, they also add a funny little detail — a wheel clamp, or “boot” — that makes sure their gorgeous car can’t get away. Time to pay your parking tickets!

The Many Poses of Lloyd Whittle
Recently Lloyd Whittle has posted a series of small creations that all feature minifigures in interesting and creative positions, including a swashbuckling pirate:
Beach bullies (the girl’s legs inspired by a creation by Amanda Baldwin):
And a creepy pool scene:
Down the F Market & Wharves Line with Alex Eylar
Alex “Profound Whatever“ Eylar invites us for a ride on his wonderful miniland-scale railcar. Seeing excellent miniland creations like this makes me want to break out from minifig-scale creations and try my hand at something bigger.
It was a three hour tour...[Parody Sets]
Dave Shaddix is working on a beautiful series of Gilligan’s Island creations. Based on episodes from the iconic TV show, they are accompanied by some pretty snazzy box art!
Just a reminder, since the box art looks so authentic, these parody sets don’t actually exist!
You should also check Dave’s MOCpage. Thanks to Heather for the heads up.
Benlego braces for an explosive winter
Benlego presents a couple of winter wonderland scenes about to be interrupted by those rascally Power Miners:
As a bonus, check out this creative shadow puppetry:
And, finally, thanks to the new Castle and Pirate sets, minifigs can finally go fishing properly:
Back Bay Brahmins
The building was nothing special — a little Boston Brownstone I built mainly as filler for the zombie display — so I decided to have a little fun with the presentation.
Check out the full building if you must.
My LEGO fire engine is ready to be apocafied
I’d always admired the great fire engines by Steven Asbury and Ralph Savelsberg, so when I built a fire house for Zombie Apocafest 2008, I knew I needed a fire engine like theirs.
The fire engine seats four and includes various compartments for their equipment. See more photos on MOCpages or Flickr.
Steven Marshall’s Mini Cooper Rally — what more could we possibly want?
Any new LEGO creation from Steven Marshall is a treat, and his lovely new rally Mini Cooper doesn’t disappoint, from the custom stickers on the outside to the stripped-down interior (complete with webbing).
(I am, in fact, watching Top Gear right this moment, both on the TV and here on my computer. Ah, technology…)
