LEGO Star Wars is one of the most popular LEGO themes of all time. Far beyond X-wings and TIE fighters, there’s a whole expanded universe of inspiration, and an army of LEGO fans ready to build whatever comes out of George Lucas’s head next.

An elegant weapon for a more civilized time, eh? Well, guess what? Times have changed!

If this light-up LEGO hangar looks familiar, you probably spent some time in the mid 2000s playing Star Wars Republic Commando on the Xbox. Michael K.‘s impressive diorama is a recreation of one of the iconic scene from the game: the Battle of Hangar D aboard the Acclamator-class assault ship, the Prosecutor.

This creation is packed full of clone troopers (churning out witty one-liners), droids (pew pew), and tons of intricate details built into the hangar itself. You can check out even more photos (and videos!) of Michael’s Star Wars creation on Flickr.

What do you get when you cross an X-Wing, a Y-Wing, and an A-Wing?

This Onith-Wing Starfighter by Ted Andes is so sweet that I think it should be woven into a Star Wars movie. It’s seriously that good — it has all the right elements that make it believable, with both the contours and the lovely muted grey, dark red, and white theme. It reminds me of a cross between a Y-wing with the modified engines of X-Wings with some A-Wings thrown in for good looks. The build is almost without any visible studs to give it smooth and clean lines.

Onith-Wing Starfighter

While it seems that this beauty would not pack sufficient firepower to bring anything down, the underbelly sports a couple more hidden cannons.

LEGO Star Wars 75204 Sandspeeder revealed from The Last Jedi [News]

The December flyer for LEGO retail stores that arrived in many mail boxes today includes the first official photos of 75204 Sandspeeder. The set includes 278 pieces with two minifigs and will retail for $29.99 beginning on December 1st (though it’s also showing up in the wild already).

75204 Sandspeeder

The vehicle is very obviously patterned after the T-47 airspeeder used as snowspeeders on Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back, further reinforcing pre-release perceptions among Star Wars fans of the parallels between Episode IV and Episode VIII. We’ll be doing a comparison review with previous LEGO snowspeeders in the next couple of days, ahead of the set’s release.

Iconic Luke & Vader scene from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back recreated perfectly in LEGO

One of the most iconic scenes from The Empire Strikes Back takes place in Cloud City, where Darth Vader reveals Luke’s parentage. Due to the sheer scale of the film’s setpiece, this memorable scene hasn’t appeared in many brick-built creations, but Caleb Watson and Carlyle Livingston have managed to pull off an incredible huge-scale build that’s appropriately and simply titled “Noooo!”

“Noooo

This impressive size of the central duct of Cloud City stands out, recreated perfectly though with a detailed backlit background. Although the patterned backdrop may look simple, the careful placement needed to get the textures just right isn’t easy.

Here Caleb (left) and Carlyle stand behind their masterpiece to give a sense of the scale needed to do justice to this scene in bricks.

Designed with a single purpose – to destroy Imperial ships

Inthert has put his talent for building outstanding copies of Star Wars spacecrafts to good use with another brilliant model to help the rebels fight the Imperial forces. As the builder comments his own creation, the biggest challenge during the work on this B-wing was the problem with proportions; it’s so easy to ruin the build with just one extra plate or a tile. Fortunately, the result is beyond any compliments.

3 fans take over 200k LEGO pieces and 2 years to build incredible diorama of Hoth Echo Base from Star Wars

Hoth accounts for less than 20 minutes of The Empire Strikes Back, yet it has left an indelible imprint on Star Wars fans, including Brick a Ben, Ferroh12 and Brick_Phil. Together, they have collaborated to create Winter is Hoth, and incredible diorama built over two years and using more than 200,000 LEGO elements.

Sector is clear...Not clear! Not clear!

h2brick has created what has become quite an iconic scene from the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Gameplay Trailer, depicting the moment Darth Maul shows up to ruin the sectors clearness. The build makes use of surprisingly few new and specialized parts, but still captures the aesthetic of a battle damaged Naboo perfectly. I particularly like the addition of the simple yet quite accurate AT-RT walker.
