The LEGO booth at Toy Fair this year only showcased one buildable or “constraction” figure, a new Darth Maul figure. Several other buildable figures from the spring 2018 wave have been revealed today, including Han Solo and the Range Trooper from the upcoming Han Solo movie.

Just one huge spaceship, even if it is the legendary Kessel Run Millennium Falcon, is never enough for a proper interstellar adventure. So, here are the first official images of the rest of LEGO Star Wars Solo: A Star Wars Story line-up. All these sets will hit store shelves on April 20.

I have a feeling that the BrickHeadz series still has a pretty long lifespan with the amount of flexibility and simplicity of its appeal to the masses, reinforced by the upcoming 41597 Go Brick Me customization kit. The Star Wars franchise is no stranger to this trend, and we see a healthy amount of creativity that stands out, including these BrickHeadz of Admiral Ackbar, Biggs Darklighter, and Leia Organa. Tom Vanhaelen designed this trio, and really hit the nail on the head with that ‘stash. That printed moustache tile has “I belong to Biggs” written all over it.
One can never have too many versions of the Millennium Falcon be it official LEGO sets or fan-made ones. Here’s another one to add to your collection made together with a poseable stand designed by elemental_lego. This tiny Falcon build requires 57 parts in total and captures the essential details. We pretty much would guess Chewbacca’s approval on this tiny piece of junk. In his own words, we’re pretty sure he’d give us a “Rawrrr Rawrrrrrrrr” and two furry thumbs up.

The Star Wars saga is all about two things – machines and locations. Of course, some may say it’s also about the Force, family relationship and friendship, but none of this would work without iconic spacecrafts and mesmerizing sceneries. While it is generally accepted that cheetahs are the fasted land animal, you may not know that the fastest ‘air’ animal is Bonnie Bunny in her superspeeder. Yes Bonnie Bunny may have enjoyed camping in her caravan and playing in the playground in official LEGO sets, but her true adrenaline-junkie nature has been exposed by Pico van Grootveld. The adorable speeder is fits Bonnie Bunny perfectly with some cheery spring yellow parts and nice sticker application.

Just take my money already! Combining three of my favorite things, Alexis Dos Santos has raised the bar on mind-blowing creations with this Star Wars Racer game, made out of LEGO and powered by MINDSTORMS.
The game itself is a three-dimensional, brick-built version of the pod-racing scene from Star Wars Episode I. The player controls Anakin’s podracer between obstacles coming at it while the MINDSTORMS Intelligent Brick provides the logic and sound effects for the game.
As the caution on the game warns, “HIGHLY ADDICTIVE GAME, THANKFULLY IT’S FREE TODAY!” But where do I buy get it … ?
We got our hands on the Kessrel Run Millennium Falcon at Toy Fair in New York City yesterday, and the movie’s release is coming up in May. Naturally, the hype is ramping up, and one of the things we’ve always enjoyed about each new Star Wars movie has been LEGO versions of the movie posters. The graphic designers at LEGO have created character posters for four of the main characters in Solo: A Star Wars Story. There are posters for young Han Solo, the new Chewbacca design, new character Qi’ra (played by Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones fame), and young Lando Calrissian.
The Brothers Brick managing editors Chris Malloy and Andrew Becraft will be presenting insights and observations about 19 years of LEGO Star Wars at two events in Seattle later this week. On Friday, February 23 at 7:00 PM, the authors of Ultimate LEGO Star Wars will share a presentation and autograph books at the Seward Park location. Then, on Saturday, February 24 at 7:00 PM, they will do so at the Ravenna store.
The previous event at Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon (pictured here) was well-attended, so be sure to arrive early for seating and copies of the book.
For those of you lucky enough to be attending the sold-out Emerald City Comic-Con the first weekend in March, Chris and Andrew will also be doing a panel and signing in the Writers Block area on Sunday morning (March 1st at 10:45 AM).
When the first Star Wars movie not part of the epic series, Rogue One, was released, people had a mixed reaction. Personally, I loved it, and a lot of great characters were introduced. LEGO creator Nobu_tary has been building some amazing creations of a few of them using key parts from the official buildable figure sets, but making a number of delightfully unique design choices to give them personality. Take this shoretrooper, for example.
