LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set Cute Bunny, I choose you! [Instructions]

We really like LEGO’s Creator 3-in-1 sets; our archives are full of glowing set reviews for this theme. But did you know that, once upon a time, Creator sets featured instructions for as many as 8 or 9 individual models? Flickr-based builder Jan Willem has invoked the spirit of these heady, more-than-3-in-1 days by creating a fourth build for the 31162 Cute Bunny set. In case you don’t recognise it, this is Rowlet, the grass (and, if you ask me, best) starter from the 7th generation of Pokémon games. It sure is cute! Jan has done a great job of recreating its rotund shape, especially considering he only used about three-quarters of the pieces!

ROWLET

If you fancy building your own Rowlet, Jan has made the instructions available for free download over on Rebrickable. But we’re still missing Litten and Poplio… Who fancies having a go at making alt-builds for those two?

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31169 Typewriter with Flowers [Review]

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets are great for builders with less experience as they provide instructions for multiple models using the same limited number of parts. They are also usually a good source for new or re-colored parts. The latest wave of sets coming out on January 1st is a good example, introducing several new parts in a few colors, and unlike some of the previous waves that were mostly the same color range, each of the sets in this wave features different colors. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31169 Typewriter with Flowers includes 363 pieces and will be available on January 1st for US $29.99 | CAN $39.99 | UK £24.99

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31165 Wild Animals Panda Family [Review]

Recently, LEGO set designers have taken the Creator 3-in-1 line of animal sets to the next level. Sets like LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31129 Majestic Tiger, LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox, and LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31150 Wild Safari Animals have given wildlife fans a lot to be excited about. With 4 new sets coming in January, this trend is showing no signs of stopping. The most impressive of the latest wave features a panda bear and cub snacking on bamboo, with a penguin and chick and a pair of orcas as the alternate models. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31165 Wild Animals Panda Family contains 626 pieces and will be available on January 1st for US $39.99 | CAN $49.99 | UK £34.99. You may also be able to find the set after release from 3rd party sites like Amazon and eBay.

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31151 T. rex: An apex predator outpaces the rest [Review]

Dinosaurs and LEGO just go together. It could be molded creatures from Dino Hunters, Adventurers, or Jurassic Park. Or detailed brick build sculptures from…Jurassic Park. Or maybe massive creations of stacked 2x4s. Or, indeed, multiple decades of Creator sets! These prehistoric giants are a compelling subject for display and play in the brick. The summer Creator wave returns to the Tyrannosaurus Rex, considered one of the fiercest predators of its time, and perhaps ever (yes, the Allosaurus and Giganotosaurus may want a word, and Jurassic Park invents its own wordless villains, but T. rex still holds up as a top predator). LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31151 T. rex. contains 626 pieces and is available August 1st for North America, June 1st for the UK for US $59.99 | CAN $79.99 | UK £54.99. Let’s see if it stacks (bricks) up!
