Celebrate Bionicle’s 20th anniversary with a map of Mata Nui island made from pieces of the LEGO 31203 World Map [News]

Today LEGO fans come together to celebrate the LEGO Bionicle theme that ended its run in 2010. Since then, August 10th or 8/10 in American date notation format is bestowed by fans to be 810NICLE day. Builders and designers commemorate their much-beloved franchise with builds, art, and varied ways to revive their love for the theme. Joining the celebrations, LEGO designer Nicolas Vás used LEGO elements from the 31203 World Map and transformed it into a map of Mata Nui island, the locale for the early years of Bionicle adventures.

Leaving LEGO Masters S2: We sit down with the fifth team to leave [Feature]

The sixth episode of LEGO Masters Season 2 has aired. A new episode means another winning build and unfortunately, another team elimination. After each episode, we’ll be meeting these teams as they continue on their LEGO journey with the show behind them.

TBB NEWS AND REVIEWS Wow, what a week for LEGO news and reviews! We covered the unveiling of a special LEGO set celebrating 20 years of the Harry Potter theme. We also got to look at advent calenders for several themes, including the first Marvel calendar and City and Friends. There were reviews from the LEGO Star Wars theme, including the Mandalorian fighter, and the armorers forge from the Disney+ hit series, The Mandalorian. Also, we brought the exciting news that the longest-running LEGO fan convention, BrickCon will be in-person again this October.

Today LEGO unveils the next ultimate exclusive Harry Potter set, 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition. Designed to celebrate the theme’s 20th anniversary, the new Hogwarts Icons is a 3,010-piece collection of the saga’s major symbols. LEGO City and Friends Christmas Advent Calendar 2021 unveiled [News]

LEGO has unveiled the final two Advent Calendar themes for 2021 and a Micro-dolls are featured in the Friends set instead of the usual Mini-dolls. These will be available for purchase in September 2021.

LEGO Star Wars 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter features Bo-Katan Kryz & Gar Saxon [Review]

In addition to all the LEGO sets from The Mandalorian, LEGO is also releasing a pair of LEGO Star Wars sets from The Clone Wars. We’ve already reviewed the smallest set in the summer 2021 wave, 75310 Duel on Mandalore, so today we’re taking a look at 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter, featuring a vehicle and characters seen in both The Clone Wars and Rebels animated series. The set includes 544 pieces with three minifigs and is available now for US $59.99 | CAN $79.99 | UK £49.99.

BrickCon 2021 LEGO fan convention tickets are now available [News]

Tickets for BrickCon 2021 are available starting today. The LEGO fan convention will take place in the heart of Seattle from Oct. 1-3, 2021, and will feature a hybrid model with in-person registration limited to the first 400 vaccinated adult fans, as well as many activities and games available for those who wish to attend virtually. BrickCon 2021 tickets to the adult fan in-person convention are $85 and grant access to the full 3-day convention, games, prizes, a goodie bag, and more. Starting Sept. 1, tickets to the hybrid virtual convention will be available for $25, along with public tickets for Saturday and Sunday.

LEGO Ideas 40487 Sailboat Adventure is the new fan-designed Gift with Purchase [Review]

A few times a year, LEGO dips into the vast sea of fan-designed content on the Ideas platform to find a smaller set suitable for a free gift with purchase for customers, such as 40448 Vintage Car. The Summer 2021 example is 40487 Sailboat Adventure, designed by fan Yan Chevalier as part of a LEGO Ideas fan competition. The 330-piece set is available to LEGO VIPs starting today with minimum US $200 | CAN $200 | UK £200 purchases from LEGO stores and the LEGO website— check out all the new LEGO sets for August 2021 available today. Starting Aug. 4, it will be available to non-VIP members as well, and the promo is slated to run through Aug. 29. Let’s take this set for a sail and see if it’s seaworthy.
