Legoland California just finished their hiring competition and selected 5 new Master Builders, as well as 4 Associate Builders!
Among the finalists are some very deserving builders, including several that will be familiar to Brothers Brick readers.
After participating in a routine job application process, finalists were subjected to a timed, two hour build-off, which narrowed the field down to nine who were offered jobs.

We’re not averse to highly customized minifigs here on The Brothers Brick, but I personally prefer a LEGO-only solution when it’s possible.

In his explorations of the subway system of Gotham City Brent Wolke (thwaak) has uncovered a secret world: a world of subway racers. These are the cutest set of LEGOy things I’ve seen in ages.
Well, not in the sense that I want them to eat my minifigs’ brains (well, perhaps some of them), but in the sense that zombies make pretty much anything cooler.
The guys from The Big Toy Hut have put together a batch of minifigs inspired by the zombie megafigs by Andrew Bell:

We love Adam Grabowski‘s vehicles, minifigs, and, oh, pretty much everything he does, but this Hellboy sculpture is an interesting departure. I suspect Mike Mignola would be proud.

LEGO Batman: The Video Game was released this past Tuesday. I’d hoped to play the game and write a review, as I did for LEGO Indiana Jones: The Video Game, but I won’t have time to do that for a couple weeks.
McDonald’s has of course had Happy Meal toys inspired by the game available for a while (very funny photo by FiddybobiddyFiddy):
