It looks like a star to me

This is something you probably don’t see on LEGO spaceships: vines. Check out the Shooting Star by Space2310.

This mini-tank changes everything

Well, everything about it changes. That’s the same thing, right? Geoff Herndon built it, but he was inspired by вrickart!san.

When it comes to alts, less is more.

I’m sure every builder has came across the thought that “I can build anything if I just have a lot of LEGO bricks.” I remember thinking like that and being jealous of all the builders with seemingly unlimited bricks. This summer, I was temporarily parted with my collection, but I still wanted to do some building, so I made some alts. Alternative models are those built with the limited parts from one or a few LEGO sets, and their message is simple: less is more.

What goes around, comes around

This incredible Brickfilm by pe668 has some of the smoothest animation I’ve seen in a very long time. Check out “Cyclic“.

Thanks to Caylin for the heads up!

Red Raptor Rolls Out

Rong Yiren trots out this red beastie. I love the pose on this guy. Looks like he’s about to go for your throat in a totally whimsical way.

Stefan’s micro Star Trek fleet is ready to make first contact with the Borg

I think we could blog pretty much everything Stefan (-2×4-) has posted so far. Following his mini Battlestar Galactica fighters, Stefan’s microscale Star Trek fleet includes a nice variety of ships from Star Trek: First Contact in a variety of sizes, ranging from the minuscule USS Defiant to the Enterprise-E.

FirstContact

Naturally, resistance is futile, as this large Borg Cube demonstrates.

It’s a trap! LEGO Star Wars 7754 Home One & 7753 Pirate Tank out now [News]

The newest LEGO Star Wars sets, including 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Cruisericon and 7753 Pirate Tankicon are now available from the LEGO Shop online.

The Home One playset includes minifig all-stars Admiral Ackbar, Mon Mothma, a new Lando, and Crix Madine, along with a green A-wing. A bit pricy at $110, but hey, Admiral Ackbar!

Having never watched the Clone Wars animated series, I don’t know much about the tank, but the minifigs are some of the coolest aliens I’ve seen outside Space Police III.

Speaking of the new Space Police, two more sets are out — ones I hadn’t seen from Toy Fair coverage or leaked catalog scans.

Frodorror “KFKF15” Heavy Fighter

Check out this fighter by Mristoph Chonnaie (stenertje).

Frodorror

It’s called a heavy fighter, and it really feels like one. I really love the chunkiness of this thing. I’m also a big fan of the tube making a seam across the bubble canopy.

Jon Hall’s Cave Cruiser

Jon Hall (jonhall18) recently built this fantastic speeder.

Cave Cruiser

It incorporates a lot of great angles, without looking like it’s a bunch of sections being forced together. Instead, it really appears as though the hull came from a factory in one piece. It also features just enough greebles inside of the fins to look good, without going overboard. The sticker use is also impeccable.

Twin Pod Cloud Car

Lino says that he geeked out again. I don’t think that adequately describes the elegance of this build. I guess he can call it what he wants.

LEGO Starwars Twin Pod Cloud Car

By the way, I saw this in person. It’s swooshable!

The new Sith Venom stikes fear into Jedi Knights

It’s been more than four years since Dan Jassim posted his original Sith Venom on MOCpages. Recently, Dan revamped the model to include prominent changes such as a more dynamic cockpit design and added greebles in the grooves on the sides of the ship.

Battlestar Galactica hangar bay

Stefan’s (-2×4-) Battlestar Galactica hanger, comparable to ChiefLUG’s, is an impressive display for a one man build. The tiles on the dividers add a nice texture to contrast with the smooth floor and wall.
