LEGO Marvel 76314 Captain America: Civil War Action Battle – Which side wins?

When LEGO Marvel 76314 Captain America: Civil War Action Battle first debuted on the LEGO website, I was immediately struck by two thoughts. First, that’s definitely an entire Ant-Man construction figure contained within this set. And second, I remember the similar 2016 set LEGO Marvel 76051 Super Hero Airport Battle to be an amazing one. Releasing on January 1st, 2025, and containing 736 pieces, LEGO Marvel 76314 Captain America: Civil War Action Battle retails for US $99.99 | CAN $129.99 | UK £89.99. With so many existing sets to compare to, how will this new CA:CW battle scene hold up?

LEGO Icons 10350 Tudor Corner modular building – a return to the Classic Castle Guarded Inn [Review & Exclusive Designer Insights]

In 1986, LEGO released the all-time classic LEGO Castle 6067 Guarded Inn (so beloved that it was even briefly re-released in 2001). Harking back to this bygone era, LEGO just announced the latest in their long-running line of modular buildings, LEGO Icons 10350 Tudor Corner. Launching on January 1st, 2025 for LEGO Insiders members (January 4th for everyone else), the set incorporates design elements from traditional British architecture for the first time, including a ground-floor pub named after the Classic Castle set and brick-built half-timber construction. As its name indicates, Tudor Corner is also the next corner module, following 10297 Boutique Hotel from 2022. The set includes a whopping 3,266 parts with 7 minifigs, and will retail for US $229.99 | CAN $299 | UK £229.

At LEGO headquarters in Billund, Denmark, I sat down for a conversation with the set’s designer François Zapf alongside graphic design team manager Ashwin Visser, and I’ll be sharing insights from that interview throughout this review.

LEGO 40701 Ballerina & Nutcracker Scene Gift with Purchase [Review]

The internet can argue for ages about what the best Christmas song is. And while there are some correct answers (it’s the Pogues, obviously), one which should not be overlooked is Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite. This was Christmas music before Christmas music was a thing, and has been set to many a festive ballet performance since. LEGO Jurassic World 76967 Little Eatie: T. Rex – Little Eatie? More like Little Cutie! [Review]

With a name derived from the Latin for ‘king of the tyrant lizards’, you’d be forgiven for thinking there was no way a Tyrannosaurus Rex could ever be described as cute. Well, the latest LEGO Jurassic World set – 76967 Little Eatie: T. Rex – is here to challenge that view! With 317 pieces, this little gal depicts the dinosaur of the same name from the Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous animated series. This successor to this year’s 76962 Baby Bumpy: Ankylosaur – from the same show – will hit shelves from January 1, and you can pre-order it now for US $24.99 | CAN $29.99 | UK £19.99. You might also be able to find it on sites like eBay or Amazon after the full release date.

LEGO Jurassic World 76969 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops Skull – Tricera-top notch? [Review]

Around this time last year, I reviewed a slightly unusual LEGO Jurassic World set: a fossilised T-Rex skull. I concluded a glowing review by hoping that the fossils line would continue; ideally, in my mind, with my favourite dinosaur – the Triceratops – to come next. Clearly someone at LEGO was reading, as LEGO Jurassic World 76969 Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops will grant both wishes at once when it releases next January 1! You can pre-order it now for US $44.99 | CAN $59.99 | UK £39.99 (you might also find it on eBay or Amazon once it does release), and although it has fewer pieces (468) than its predecessor, it does include a whole extra minifigure. LEGO Icons 10335 The Endurance: worth enduring, or a polarising proposition? [Review]

Whenever we’ve had LEGO sets representing old sailing ships, they have more often than not been connected to pirates or their adversaries. In that respect, the newest entry in the Icons line is rather unique: a vessel designed purely for exploration. Polar exploration, that is! This is 10335 The Endurance, a model of the ship which took Ernest Shackleton and his crew to the Antarctic, only to get stuck and then crushed in the ice of the Weddell Sea. The Endurance has since become one of the great undiscovered shipwrecks until it was found in 2022, 100 years to the day after Shackleton’s death. Two years on, and you can now recreate this legendary ship from 3,011 LEGO pieces for US $269.99 | CAN $349.99 | UK £229.99. Availability starts from November 29, while it may also be available from third-party sellers like Amazon or eBay.

LEGO Ideas 21353 The Botanical Garden – Is it everything we’ve hoped for? [Review]

LEGO fans have been begging for a large botanical garden for quite some time. The LEGO Friends 41757 Botanical Garden is immensely popular, and many fans have been buying multiple to create a larger version. It comes as no surprise that fan designer, Valentina Bima, easily achieved the LEGO Ideas support threshold with her lovely submission – and that it was chosen to be a set. LEGO Ideas 21353 The Botanical Garden appears to be a beautiful ode to tradition Victorian glasshouses. But what’s on the inside, and how’s the build experience? Join us as we take a tour!

This 3792-piece set contain 12 minifigures and 9 animals, and LEGO’s in-house set designer, Chris McVeigh, even revealed to us that it includes at least 35 species of plants! LEGO Marvel X-Men 76294 The X-Mansion, is it worth the wait? [REVIEW]
