Some of you may have been wondering where I am. Well, I’ve been keeping company with the likes of James Joyce:
And Richard the Lionhearted:
Now, where could I possibly be?
LEGO Public Relations wants to know who has the world’s largest minifig collection. This could mean the highest quantity of minifigs or the most unique minifigs. If you think you have a shot or would like to mention someone else, please comment to this post!
I just loved Jamie Spencer‘s recent Final Fantasy X-2 minifigs, created by combining his custom decal designs with scanned minifig photos in Photoshop.
Jamie has added another batch of Final Fantasy minifigs, from Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics A2, as well as a couple more from X-2.
Ashe and Balthier from Final Fantasy XII:
Penelo from Final Fantasy Tactics A2, along with Rikku and Paine wearing their mascot dressphere outfits:
While working on custom decals for a trio of Final Fantasy X-2 minifigs, Jamie Spencer combined his decal designs in Photoshop with scans of the minifigs he’ll be putting them on, resulting in a rather cool effect:
Rikku, Yuna, and Payne never looked so good. I can’t wait for the finished minifigs.
The new LEGO Star Wars Clone Wars sets will be available soon, but attendees at Star Wars Celebration Japan got an early look at some of the sets — and the minifigs in particular.
Edge (エッジ) over at レゴ系 (The LEGO System) was there, and took a bunch of pictures of the LEGO Star Wars booth.
Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, and a bunch of clones:
Clones on bikes, including CC-7567:
An overall shot of the booth:
Bonnie Burton from the Official Star Wars Blog also took a handful of pictures of the Clone Wars LEGO, including close-ups of the nose art on the Republic Gunship:

The flood of LEGO Halo creations is so overwhelming that I can make that pun without ever having played the game. Still, this Mongoose ATV and custom UNSC Marine by Vidgamer838 seemed too good to pass up:
Here’s the marine (custom torso decal, painted Rock Raiders helmet, and modified Ninjas armor for shoulder pauldrons) without the ATV, together with a bonus Jayne Cobb from Firefly and Serenity:
With a modified head piece and sideburns from Arealight, decals from Jared “Kaminoan” Burks, and a megagun from the newly relaunched BrickForge, this Hellboy minifig by Jordan Schwartz brings together elements from several LEGO customizers to create the ultimate custom minifig:
Here’s Red with the rest of the Hellboy crew:
I must be feeling homesick for the land of my childhood tonight. I’ll wrap up this round of Japanese-themed posts with this great troll swordsman by Hamilton Scott:
And in case you haven’t been paying attention, LEGO trolls are the new cave racer.
Minifigs.net member ArzLan is a customizer I hadn’t encountered until I saw this gorgeous samurai on Brickshelf:
Poking around, I found even more great custom samurai minifigs:
Don’t miss lots of other great creations in ArzLan’s Brickshelf gallery.
Brendan Mauro puts a new twist to the LEGO troll figure, making it a cyber-troll with robot arm, eyepiece, and a sharp mechanical hand – all the better to crush those “stoopid space mans.”
New updates to genius-builder Michael Jasper‘s Brickshelf folders of Characters and Things are always a treat.
But Michael has posted a completely new conceptual gallery — “Peer Pressure” — that illustrates his storytelling skills with the simplest of creations:
